7:15am today, November 7, 2023, I was at the line to order a coffee and I saw an old gentleman was trying to use the washroom after getting a coffee. The morning staffs name starts Fei was talking to him that the washroom is not in service. He didn’t understand why the washroon was closed and wanted to know why and she said no dine in and no washroom.
Maybe the gentleman was not happy because the staff was not talking gently to him with a bit of attitude. And he got upset and there was a bit of argument between them for about 2-3 minutes while there were about 4 customers waiting on the line. Even after the gentleman left the store, she was kept talking about the situation with her co workers by using F word.
At the time of ordering my coffee, I had to express how I felt about the situation, so I told the staff that even if he used his high tone during their argument, I was not comfortable at all about the situation. Then she said she didn’t want to have that situation when it’s too early in the morning. And I had to address that also myself was not really enjoying the situation because I didn’t need to see their staff is arguing with someone from the early morning.
It seems that she didn’t really care of all the customers inside, but herself.
I then asked her if there is a manager that I can talk to and she said oh if you can wait for another hour then you can wait.
I was not happy at all with her attitude and asked her name and she refused to give. I only visited there to get a coffee and donut, but how do I deserve this?
I am a regular customer there visiting 3-4 times a week, but never seen this unhappy staffs.
I am writting this review while I am waiting for their manager. Hopefully the manager understands why I have to wait for an hour to talk to...
Read moreI have been coming to this place for over 20 years. I used to spend $100-$200 a month at Tim Hortons. A few years ago, I stopped going to Tim's altogether because I was consistently disappointed in the constant messing up of orders, problems understanding staff, slow service, and watery ice caps. To make things worse, they weren't even allowing patrons to use the wathroom. I don't know how that's not contrary to city by-laws. In short, like many locations, this one was a disaster.
Well, this week, I decided to pick up an ice cap. The Chinese-Canadian cashier actually spoke English well and took my order without problems. The wathrooms were open, and the staff were more welcoming.
It's a far cry from the Tim Hortons of years past, but at least you can get a decent ice cap and use the washroom. Just don't expect to make new friends with other patrons...it isn't your local independent cafe'.
UPDATE: Within an hour of posting this review, someone set up a fake profile just to give me a low rating on my business. It is for this reason that I've lowered my overall rating. All specific ratings are unchanged. If the owner or someone on his team is so vindictive, imagine what they'll do to your order if they don't like you. This is a real concern that will steer me clear of this...
Read moreI wrote an initial review but since then have been further disappointed. I work on the same block and used to go daily for breakfast before work. The service, atmosphere and quality has fallen so much that I only go now if I have to because I'm running late or forgot my lunch. Anytime I go, there is some issue, and I'm frustrated. I have brought this dip in quality to their attention politely more than once, warned them that they actively chased away a regular, and I still didn't get the feeling that they cared to lose my business. Today I paid $6 for the sandwich pictured and I plan to take any future business elsewhere. Not only is this not a good Tim Horton's, I know other coworkers and neighbors who feel similarly. Don't waste your time to pay too much to get disappointed in customer service and quality. They also refuse to reopen their seating - I'm assuming due to all the issues and fights caused by the students of the nearby school - but then no adults, elderly or children can be there either. The way it is all piled up is an eyesore and should be a red flag to anyone not familiar. They claim it is temporary but it has been closed more often than opened since...
