I work nearby, and so the shortage and generally horrible quality of the restaurants in the area means I've come here often. Tov-Li is very passable. They've chosen a large array of vegetarian (plus salmon) ingredients, and constructed a menu of almost every conceivable combination of those ingredients. The food is rarely of poor quality, but almost nothing is ever outstanding either. I've tried pizza, calzones, pita wraps, fries, rice dishes, ice cream, and all have been prepared adequately and I enjoyed most of them. They have a habit of not reheating calzones long enough, but they're good with pizza. Their spicy fries are consistently good. The greek pita is also a consistent option I return to often. Pricing on most of the menu is very reasonable. There are a few overpriced items like the recently added milkshake, but otherwise I always feel I'm getting decent value for my money. My main gripes are with the service. Most of the staff are friendly, although I've definitely received my fair share of sass from a couple of them. They have a very odd system in place, where after you order and pay a staff at the front, you're handed two receipts and expected (but not usually informed) to walk ten feet to your right and hand the order receipt to the people preparing the food. The staff get very uppity about this sometimes, presumably because customers often don't understand the system. Maybe this is because it's a bad system. Even having a perfect understanding of the system, it's still problematic. I've stood at the prep area with nobody taking my receipt for up to several minutes on occasion. I've also had them take my receipt and then forget to start preparing my food. And I've had them almost give my food to the wrong person, or question giving it to me on other occasions. All of these seem like scenarios this system was implemented to combat in the first place, but it clearly isn't serving these purposes with any high success rate. I don't know the best solution, but I know...
Read moreThis is the second time I've ordered on behalf of my office. We pay $15 for delivery when we're already over $200 on catering. The first time we ordered, the driver wouldn't bring it up to our office suite and a couple of us had to go downstairs to bring everything up. He left our kosher food on the ground. Yes, it was all in plastic bags, but their drivers have no manners or respect. Today was the second time we've ordered from them. They forgot half our order! I got back upstairs to our office and unpacked everything to realize we were missing our wrap tray. I called and was hung up on 2 times before they actually answered the phone and spoke. I spoke with 2 different women; the first seemed to be clueless in everything. The second woman was more helpful and told us the driver had forgotten it. The food we received was already cold by the time we got the rest of order about half an hour later. Thankfully the lady came and delivered it to us instead of waiting for the driver to go back. The food, I will say, it fresh and delicious. But they really need to fire those men who deliver for them because they don't have any common sense. I'm not sure if we will order from them again as both times something went wrong with...
Read moreThis place is a mad house at lunch with no place to sit or breathe! Be expected to stand 5-10 minutes in line to place your order.
Try ordering ahead for pick-up to reduce wait times but be prepared to be on the phone with very rude staff who are brash and raise their voice at you if you don’t order fast enough- also expect them to take down your credit card information wrong, or charge you the wrong amount or misplace your order and make you call the other location. These are all things that have happened literally every time I have to interact with this buisness. I wish there were other kosher places around with delivery so I can stop using them.
There is also very limited parking and a busy street adjacent, so walking there might...
