Was pretty disappointed, not going to lie... I grew up around the neighbourhood and have gotten cakes here almost every year as a kid from my parents.. I remember them always paying for extra durian.. so I do remember how it tasted. It was really good. This time around, it’s my turn to buy for my friend who LOVES durian. I came and ordered a 12” cake because they told me the fruits on top would be compromised if ordered smaller. No problem at all! I also paid $10 for extra durian... on top of an already durian cake and told them to please make it taste good!!! I didn’t care about the extra cost, I just wanted to eat a really good durian cake (it’s been a while!) :) When I came to pick up the cake (early and not late), I was excited it looked nice and I gave them a $10 tip—-totalling $75. Few hours passed and we tried the cake... we were so disappointed we did not taste much durian.. a few of our family members that have tried this place many times also agreed. The cake wasn’t as moist as we expected but luckily the frosting helped... I gave ample of time by ordering more than a week’s time. For a $65+$10 tipped cake.. I did expect a little more.. a cake at grocery stores can be very delicious. Anyway, I really wanted to support and give this place a 5 star and continue to buy their cakes and pastries for generations to come.. but for now.. it’s a no from me. Sorry!

Honestly, me and my family have been coming to this location for decades when it comes to birthday cakes. I have seen their writing and work. This has honestly changed my mind about them and I will be never returning again. The first picture is the inspo, the lady said she couldn’t do the colour, so we had to compromise on a lighter blue, she said she was able to do the writing the same and as for the shells and pearls she said she couldn’t do the pearls and I told her it’s fine I’ll do both of them myself. I had a bad feeling and told her to wait until I came for her to do the writing, I even wrote it on a piece of paper and the second picture is the outcome… I honestly was shook because it looks like a kid has wrote it. She gives false promises and for her being called “the most professional and experienced baker” by another worker but she couldn’t do a simple writing nor colour is questionable to believe. She also was very unprofessional and kept calling everything I wanted ugly and kept dismissing my opinion and issues. Do what you want with this information.

This bakery is our go-to for celebratory cake because they carry durian cakes! Our family are huge fans of durian so we’re happy they opened this location - now our favourite branch. Our initial go-to location is at the Mississauga Chinatown which is further from home and unfortunately has downsized to a smaller unit with a dirtier-looking interior to make ends meet. Prices has definitely gone up with inflation, fortunately cake designs and recipe hasn’t changed. Their buttercream and vanilla sponge goes really well with the durian. I recommend placing orders ahead of time to avoid buying possibly old/stale cake on display. You also have the option to write English, Chinese, or Vietnamese inscriptions for cake orders. They’re located in a unit with only outdoor entry of Sheridan Mall with ample free parking. They also sell Vietnamese subs (bánh mì) and a variety of Chinese buns and pastries.

I have being a customer in this bakery for 7 years. My family usually ordered the durian birthday cakes for family members and we liked it. However the durian cakes are getting different in quality. We don't mind to pay more for the quality cakes, but hope that at least they can keep the right amount of durian in the cake. The durian cakes we have ordered 2 times this years full of cream and a little bit of durian, also the cakes were dry.

First time ordering Chinese Wedding pastries for guests. Very disappointed with wrong order results. I do not mind to pay more for wedding pastries even though they were expensive than the regular ones selling in store, I got bigger size of pastries but they made for me different orders and bad quality of pastries. I got feedback from guests that some of them were bitter from the outside of pastries. Went back to the store and gave feedback, the person who worked there tried...
