I had the pleasure of dining here multiple times during my stay at the adjacent hotel. Since Google does not allow me to leave multiple reviews, I would like to post three of my experiences. Please note the lower rating is partially a summary of these three experiences and also more to flag management’s attention so this is actually read, as they typically disregard higher ratings.

  1. My brother and I arrived right at 10:00am one day. I did not realize the restaurant closed at that time for breakfast hours, and the doors were still open; not the fault of the staff, but various sites, both the restaurant and the hotel state the hours are from 6:00am to 11:00pm, which one would think means they are open continuously. It does not mean that, and I apologized to the waiter with the intention of leaving.

However, the gentleman asked if we would still like to dine for breakfast and unfortunately I am an easily flustered person so I said yes without thinking much about it. Genuinely, if not offered, we would have left but by the time we were sat, I was too anxious to say anything. I did not see this myself but my brother said that some of the remaining wait staff were giving us dirty looks, which was completely understandable.

Still, despite my mistake, the staff was quick and friendly with their service, and my brother and I made sure to eat quickly and leave as soon as we could. This shows how professional and wonderful the workers here are, and I do apologize for inconveniencing them. My complaint is with management for not posting the corrected hours.

  1. We returned for dinner the next day, where we were served by Steve, who was an amazing and friendly worker. He checked on us constantly and always double checked our orders, which came out fast and with no problems. His voice was loud enough for us to hear over the bustling crowd, which was great because it caused fewer errors with communication. We could hear him talking with other tables in between waiting on us, and he was always super friendly and helpful when talking to them, from start to finish. All our food was piping hot and fresh, and really fantastic. When we came the following evening and were served by someone else, Steve recognized us and said hello, which was super kind and unexpected.

  2. The following evening, we returned for dinner again. This time we were served by a young lady who I believe was named Bri/Bree. She was very polite and friendly, but unfortunately quite soft-spoken so I had trouble hearing her even in the quieter section of the restaurant. She didn’t check on our table as often and our wait times for food were a bit longer than our previous experiences, but nothing outrageous. The food was delicious though not quite as hot, as if it had been sitting for a few minutes before being brought out, closer to room temperature. We did not bring this up as the food was still quite good. The drinks were a bit lackluster this time, but that could be personal preference.

All in all, this restaurant is a great place to eat at and everyone seems friendly and professional. Would definitely eat here again when visiting. Personally recommending the Bang Bang...

The food was decent (wings were pretty good), but absolutely one of the worst service experiences I've ever had in a restaurant in my entire life. Three of us came in for lunch and when we arrived there was nobody else there. Waitress came over and took our initial order, but sadly that's where any level of activity that could remotely be considered service ended. She literally never came back....once...ever...not even to check on us. We each ordered wings and a beer, which shouldn't be that difficult. After the food runners brought the food nobody ever came back. We had to flag down a busboy to ask for a 2nd round of drinks. After several minutes half of us got another drink, the other did not (and ultimately everyone was charged for two.) Once we were done we then had to fight twice for our checks, once to another server and finally one of us went over to the bar and told the original server we were leaving. she finally brought the checks, which half had to be corrected for the 2nd round of drinks that never came. We finally paid and left. From the time we sat down, ordered, ate our food, got half a second round, and finally got the checks, paid, and left, was 2 hours and 3 minutes of our lives that we'll never get back....Absolutely unacceptable under any circumstances, but certainly not when it's not very busy.

To add insult to injury, there were a couple groups of small children (3-5 years old), who were running amok throughout the restaurant, climbing on other patrons seats, running into their tables, etc., without a parent in sight, and staff did not seem to care either. Definitely would not waste my time coming back here again, not worth the subpar...

Probably the worst experience ever at a turtle jacks. First off the service is the slowest I have had in Toronto airport area. We missed a flight due to what happened. So this meal cost us $1000 for some eggs. The server after eating took 45 minutes after asking several times to get us the bill. Had to ask the host to finally get it. After paying we tried leaving and they lock everyone in the place. Doors do not open going out. I had to go to the controls to allow myself to leave. The server told me I the transaction did not go through. He said one of the machines does not work. I said why do you hand it to people then if you know this. He said just incase it does work or some crap. My jaw was on the floor by this dumb remark. He told me to check if the transaction went through. I left my phone in the car due to my partner had hers and needed to charge mine before the flight. Anyways got double charged, because he had no way of seeing it my thank you come again ment I paid the first time.

Horrible place. 8 bucks for half hour parking. It’s a joke and this place will go under. Should stay in Muskoka if this is the treatment people get.

Please don’t replay this chain is horrible everywhere and don’t want to hear from you. You have screwed over my holiday plans.

At least when someone orders coffee and waits 40 minutes for eggs. Bring them a spoon. And when they ask for a spoon bring them one. Took 20 minutes for a spoon. And asked 3 times. We used something else in the end. This place is a...

My girlfriend and I cam here after work on a Friday, I didn't even realize that there was a Turtle Jacks near the airport which was surprising as it's her favorite casual dinning restaurant. Parking was slightly inconvenient as we had to park behind the restaurant to get free parking as the close parking is paid. A nice woman greeted us at the front who I assume was a Front of House manager/supervisor, she was very nice. We got a high table and ordered our food. Our server was nice and wasn't too annoying. We ordered calamari as our starter and she got the 4 Cheese Cajun Chicken Penne Pasta and I got the Bacon & Cheddar Burger. The calamari and burger was amazing although towards the end of the girlfriend's pasta she found a hair but we were too shy to say anything (as she had almost finished the pasta anyways when she found it). It wasn't a huge deal anyways as we were both pretty full towards the end of the dinner. She also got the Melonade which is some fruity alcoholic drink and I got a Coors Light. The alcohol was good although I didn't like the sourness of her drink. Beyond the hair that she found we had a good time. I wouldn't recommend restaurants which are attached to Hotels as I have noticed their slight inferiority in quality vs. standalone restaurants but all things considered we would still come back to a Turtle Jack's, but maybe not this one. 3/5 stars due to parking and hair.

Came here for a last minute dinner reservation for 10 people, after an event across the street on a Sunday evening. They werre able to accomodate our group comfortably and were very prompt with their service, as our group was seated right away. Their staff were very welcoming and came around our table often during our stay. Service 5/5 The restaurant itself is annexed to the Double Tree Hotel, and had a good amount of parking. The establishment is well-maintained and clean. During our visit the place did seem a little bit empty and quieter. There are also no restrooms in the restaurant itself, however one is located outside in the hallway connecting to the hotel. Atmosphere 3/5 My wife and I ordered fried pickles as our appetizer and they were great. For the main dishes, we had an order of the Big Wing Dinner with fries & a side of gravy, and an order of their Rib and Wings combo. Our food came out at a reasonable time, together with the reat of our group's orders. The fries we're crispy, wings we're seasoned well and the ribs were tender and juicy. The only negative feedback I have is that I asked for a Honey Garlic sauce on the wings and BBQ for the ribs, but both came with only the BBQ sauce. Food 4/5

What had been an enjoyable experience turned to shyt when the bill arrived and Turtle Jack's trickery was exposed. The staff arrogantly responded with, "...read the fine print on the menu.." but as the customers around me began to discuss the trickery, that same staff offered to remove the extra charge from the bill. The menu states, "....steaks are served with a baked potato" (see photo). When I ordered, and the server asked, "Loaded?", I responded, "Of course." The server made no mention that an extra cost would be applied, nor was any additional cost expected as the menu stated, "...baked potato included..." The only mention of a "Loaded Baked Potato" occurs under the menu heading of, "Ribs," where it is also not listed as an "Included" item. This sort of trickery together with outrageous tipping expectations are, understandably, causing a lot of people to reconsider dining out, regardless of the specific venue. Again, at TJ's Etobicoke, the food and service had been fine until this bit of deceit was attempted. Sadly, since I don't want to have my legal representative join me to review the "fine print" on their menu, I'll think twice about visiting TJs again in the future.
