Staff at 2575 St. Clair Ave West are extremely RUDE. I had 3 nasty experiences there. First, I bought a double Dave burger and they gave me a single Dave burger. When I was talking to cashier one staff interfered and I think she's the manager or supervisor. Without any apology she suggested since I touched the sandwich they will just give me one more burger patty. I did not want to urgue so I just got the burger patty which I did not deserved. Second time was the worst. I already got home when my son opened his sandwich with mayo, he has a severe and can be fatal allergic reaction to mayo. When I came back to the store, again No apology. I told them that it was a very serious mistake but they just seemed to not listen to me. So I just walked away very angry. I felt like I was gonna have a heart attack. The 3rd was last night when I ordered a double Dave burger at drive thru and they gave me a single Dave burger again. So I returned it and the same person (manager or supervisor) just told the kitchen to give her a double Dave. When she gave it to me I told her, NO APOLOGY! She seemed to ignore me so I told her again, NO APOLOGY! So, she ask me "what is it?" I said NO APOLOGY! Finally she said a very cold sorry. That person should never be there working, very NASTY attitude. NO WONDER ALMOST ALL THE STAFF THERE...
Read moreThis is by far the worst Wendy’s I’ve experienced. I don’t care for food fast and do not uphold the same standards as I would for a fine-dining experience so this review is quite different. I don’t care as much about the food as I do about how employees are treated by management. My sister was employed at this location and was treated disgustingly. She was 17 years old at the time and like many of her peers in that age bracket, it was one of her first jobs. She was only employed for a few months before her mental health was on a steady decline. Given the pace of the restaurant and Wendy’s expectations of pushing out food in a timely fashion, she wasn’t short of her mistakes, as it was a learning curve, however the treatment she described to me was abusive and embarrassing. Like many of the other reviews I’ve read, employees there are RUDE and the work culture there is toxic amongst each other. Management does NOT set any example of respect and decency amongst staff given how they themselves treat the staff. There’s only so much I can write here and I’m saving the restaurant by not naming names but I have not frequented this location since I urged my sister to quit and I picked her up on her last shift. Read moreTook our order wrong at the drive thru, so we corrected it, no big deal. At the next window they read it back to us, now wrong in a different way, okay sure. We corrected them again, at which point they corrected us on our own order. We started to explain the order and then they closed the window on us. Came back and read back the correct order and handed us the bag. We shouldn’t have trusted them and checked the bag before we left. The order was wrong, missing my wife’s sandwich, not great but it happens.
Reached out to Wendy’s customer service, and their response was incredibly disappointing. Despite their claiming when an experience falls short they are committed to making it right, they limited their efforts of “making it right” to “recording the details of my experience in their system.” I responded that I just want the sandwich I paid for, I was just ignored.
