Great, fun location! This place may seem like it is a dark, boring bar, but it's not. You can meet some interesting people here, they offer pool, and their staff is very friendly and helpful (the bartender moved all our stuff for us to a table closer to the pool tables). Also, we went for the chicken wings, and wow they were absolutely flavourful and lovely (not the crunchy type, but very well made), also they have lovely specials for wings and beer. We went on a Sunday night and it wasn't crowded at all. Definitely a place to go check out if you want a night out, their open late, so enjoy ☺️

We ordered chicken souvlakis wrap - $16.99 buy one get one free through Ubereat last night. The container is very big. But the restaurant only served us a small chicken souvlakis wrap and small portion of fries on both orders, No garden salad on both orders at all. Very disappointed. We complainted to Ubereat. We didn't get refund . Why? This is not our false! We won't pay $16.99 for this order. This was a false advertising ! Cheating to the customers! Not worth the money. Don't try. You will be regret.

My first and last time buying food from this restaurant! I ordered 2 pastas with a side of garlic bread. The pasta was very dry and had little to NO SAUCE. The chicken absolutely was not fully cooked! It was the WORST meal I have ever bought from a restaurant. The ends of the toast were burnt and had little to no butter on the bread. . . I definitely would not recommend this restaurant, the food is absolute trash! Save your money and your time and dine somewhere else! I was absolutely disappointed!

Zak's Bar and Grill is a standout destination for anyone seeking a perfect blend of delicious food, entertainment, and a welcoming atmosphere. Situated conveniently, this establishment offers an experience that goes beyond just dining, making it an ideal spot for both casual get-togethers and lively nights out.

The wings at Zak's are nothing short of spectacular. Perfectly cooked to achieve a crispy exterior while maintaining tender, juicy meat inside, these wings are a highlight of the menu. They come in a variety of flavors, from classic buffalo and tangy barbecue to more adventurous options like spicy garlic parmesan. Each flavor is well-crafted, ensuring that there's something to satisfy every palate. The balance of heat and flavor in their spicy options is particularly commendable, providing a kick without overwhelming the taste buds.

The menu at Zak's is a testament to authenticity and quality. Each dish is thoughtfully prepared using fresh, high-quality ingredients, ensuring a consistently delicious experience. Beyond the wings, the menu features a range of mouth-watering options, including hearty burgers, flavorful sandwiches, and fresh salads. The attention to detail in the preparation and presentation of each dish reflects the care and passion that the kitchen staff puts into their work.

Adding to the charm of Zak's Bar and Grill is the fantastic area dedicated to playing pool. This space is well-maintained and offers a great way to unwind and have fun with friends. Whether you're a seasoned player or just looking to enjoy a casual game, the pool area provides a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere that complements the overall vibe of the bar and grill.

The staff at Zak's further enhance the experience with their friendly and attentive service. They are always ready with a smile and eager to make recommendations, ensuring that every visit feels personalized and enjoyable.

In summary, Zak's Bar and Grill excels in delivering delicious, authentic food and providing a lively, enjoyable atmosphere. The combination of their exceptional wings, diverse menu, and inviting pool area makes it a must-visit spot for a memorable dining and...

A decade ago, I went looking for a place that served killer chicken wings and most of the foodie sites recommended the Fossil & Haggis. My friends and I went there and discovered that the rest of the menu was equally tasty, especially their home-made soups. The brews were fresh, and the waitresses both remembered what we’d ordered the last time and were able to share a laugh. It became our go-to place, where we’d have a couple appetisers, split a pitcher over an afternoon’s conversation, and close with dinner. A great way to spend a wintery Saturday.

Then covid happened and everything shut down. For months. Restaurants started closing, including the Fossil & Haggis. Another place gone.

Then Zak’s Bar and Grill surfaced at the old location. I checked the online menu. It looked remarkably the same (OK, the 60 oz burgers were gone but that was only a typo anyway). And the photographs showed the place ‘cleaned up’. A lot of the soccer tat was gone but the classic UK beer advertizing was still up. So, we gave it a try. We were still crossing the parking lot when the waitress recognized us. The soups were still available (had their killer bacon & potato). The brews were cold and fresh. The wings were still the best in town. And the menu has a a whole bunch of new typos. Change of name but everything great remains. Just don’t sit in the booth in the East Room beside the door. That’s our favourite table on Saturdays, because...

Zak’s (nèe Fossil and Haggis) will forever live in my heart. this is required pilgrimage for any UTSC student who has failed an exam or handed something in at 12:01. since becoming Zak’s, nothing has really changed. the food is just as bad, the vibes are just as immaculate, and you can find any noteworthy toronto sporting match on screen at any given moment (if not, just ask).

There is one glaring difference I’ve spotted in the last year. Something like a mild ache that won’t go away piercing your lower back. The music volume. It’s just barely too loud to possibly be enjoyable to anyone who hasn’t suffered hearing loss already. Please, for the love of god, you can keep the music loud, it’s a bar after all, but just like 3 notches down. I think everyone is too afraid to ask at risk of angering the regulars who absolutely love controlling the jukebox and playing 70s rock hits instead of Drake or smth normal.

Again, I don’t mind, but please for gods sake just turn it down a little.

Also shoutout the regular waitress/bar...
