If you want GELATO do not go to this place!! I am extremely disappointed. I 1st ordered the medium pistasico-what I thought was gelato, turns out it wasn't gelato. It was just ice cream that I could've got from nofrils. The girl behind the counter was rude when I tried to explain myself to her, that it wasn't gelato it was ice cream. So then I switched it for a small vanilla hoping that this would actually be GELATO and yes again it's just ice cream. Ice cream here taste so cheap, I actually got a tummy ache after I ate it. I also got a cappuccino, let me just say I'm not sure what it was, but it wasn't a cappuccino that's for sure. If want CHEAP ice cream and bad service this is the place to go to. Also I did speak to the owner and she tried to talk her way out, there is no talking your way out it's facts! My suggestion for you is to change the name from GELATO to ice cream.. be a bit more honest, that's the least you could do for your...
Read moreI live around the Zaza coffee shop. I guess I stop by almost 3-4 times every month. I usually order gluten-free almond cookies and iced decaf coffee. However, since I am dieting and will go on vacation, I am trying to control my expenses. Today, I just got off from the gym ( hone), and I guess I hurt my wrist. I just wanted to sit on the patio. I just checked, and the store was not busy, and the patio was empty. After 10-15 minutes, the lady (mid-age and white hair) asked if I was purchasing anything and highlighted that this was for the customer area. Then they looked at me like, “Leave.” I was shocked, and I said sorry. I ran a coffee shop back in Vancouver over the years, and the first rule of working/running a coffee shop is memorizing and valuing people's faces. I am sorry but u lost one of your regular customer from the neighbourhood and I recommend owners to get some friendly faces there.. Btw your coffee is not good but...
Read moreI'm surprised by the positive reviews. My husband recently visited this place and ordered an espresso, but it was made very watery. When he mentioned this to the girl at the counter, she responded, "I will make you another one since you are a complainer." He got upset and asked her why she was being an idiot and is that how she treats her customers.... she then told him he should go on a diet. I'm appalled that such behavior is tolerated in any customer-facing role.
My husband called the owner, who said the girl claimed he had first complained about their cash-only policy that day. However, he had merely inquired why this location only accepts cash when other Zaza's ,which we visit frequently, accept different forms of payment Despite the manager offering a free coffee, we won't be returning or recommending this place. Your employee' abusive behavior is unacceptable, and they should not be in direct contact...
