This one star is not for KO’s, this is for the server named “GAIL” or “Gale” don’t exactly know the spelling, I couldn’t give it zero star otherwise I would have. Ko’s was my favourite restaurant for Chinese food until yesterday. Well, I ordered vegetarian Singapore noodles , specially mentioned “no meat/egg” at all, only vegetables. When they were served they had Shrimp in them, so I asked the server that may be you forgot that I said no meat at all in it, only vegetables. She replied “well you didn’t mention seafood and there’s nothing I can do about it now” ( in A very rude and loud way). I felt very insulted, then I asked her, can you please pack this, and get us a new vegetarian one?. She said, ok . Meanwhile, as I was sitting feeling humiliated and insulted, other customer came to me and said, I’m so sorry but that was so rude of her. I could barely hold my tears back. I said it’s fine. Then as I couldn’t hold my tears back, I went to the server and asked her can you please pack the other one too. She said “ ok, but it takes time to prepare them . They are not already made up.(again with rudeness)” I said ok, I waited for the order and when I was leaving, she came to me , and asked “ are you leaving because it took too long for your order” , I said no, it was your Rude behaviour, and she was like “what? My behaviour? Oh how?” I said “you know it well” Then she goes “ I apologize ( again with rudeness). Then I came out. This was by far my worst experience in Canada, ever since I came here and it’s been almost 4 years that I’m in Canada. One more thing I want to say, I never felt this insulted and humiliated in my...
Read moreI don't know what is happening here but we went in for a weekday lunch and the place was deserted. It's a great location, right on the river with gorgeous views, lots of seating and right on the main drag. And then we got our food and the reason became clear. So to the owners : If the Chinese chow isn't paying the rent maybe it's time for a salad restaurant, barbecue, bakery, something in that gorgeous venue to pay the rent. Maybe i got it wrong and the locals love the warmed vinegar doused with hot sauce and infested with leathery old tofu masquerading as hot and sour soup but it's not. To be honest, as an Asian restaurant in Nova Scotia this place was in good company because most of them we tried were just plain bad. It's unfortunate but changing the menu to local fare would likely improve. Anything would be better. Except that Chinese place in...
Read moreMy daughter and I were at the restaurant on April 3, 2022. I can honestly say it was the best Chinese food I have ever had in my life. Everything was hot, delicious and the sweet and sour chicken was made in their restaurant unlike most restaurants you can tell they are frozen chicken balls & not homemade ones in the restaurant. I think we had a number seven and there was so much on the plate we had to get a takeout container. I will most certainly be coming back. A big plus…our waitress was so so sweet. Belinda Amirault and Kimberley Waybret East...
