Update: we tried again shortly after 11am last Wednesday. We wanted breakfast but missed it. Our waitress pointed out that there is a breakfast skillet. My wife and Mother in-law each ordered it and when it arrived it was covered in wayyyy too much cheese and the scrambled eggs were either powdered or egg whites. Neither of them came close to finishing as it was just not appetizing with all that cheese. Plus they use cold cuts for ham.
I had the 'Irish Potatoes' for $12.99 or something. I got a little boat dish with hashbrowns covered in wayyyy too much cheese, a dolop of sour cream a few little pieces of bacon bits ,and some warm, wilted Cesar salad. It was definitely not worth the money nor was it 'Irish Potatoes' by any stretch.
We used to go here every Saturday for breakfast which is usually amazing. Maybe we will stick with that if we go back.
Could have been a bad day or bad timing. Who knows.
AND the door bell!!! It's like nails down a chalkboard and louder than it needs to be. Make sure you sit closer to the door to avoid the grating electronic Bell.
Old Post from June:
"We tried breakfast, lunch and supper. Meals are great but a bit pricey compared to other locations in Bridgewater with similar food fare.
Great atmosphere and ambiance but depending on what day you go the service is pretty mediocre (specifically the weekends) and the breakfast items do not seem to be consistent from week to week.
Big menu and again, the breakfasts are...
Read moreMy husband and I stopped here tonight for supper. I have been here several times over the years and I have always had a good experience. We were there around 4:15 so we beat the supper rush. Our food was served in a reasonable amount of time, however the place was half full. Busier than what you would expect for that time for sure. I had the fish and clams and my husband chose the fish and scallops. The batter was so light and crisp! My husband is a relatively hard to please kind of guy and he was very impressed with his meal, as was I. We were 100 percent satisfied! The only thing we were a bit disappointed with was our server. She just didn't seem to have the right disposition for her job, maybe she was having a bad day? She wasn't rude, she was just only as friendly as was required. Anyway, the food was fantastic. Portions were great, and both meals came with rolls and your choice of side. Also we did request extra tarter sauce and weren't charged any extra, and also were not charged for my husband's...
Read moreWe were very excited to try this place after recently moving here, as we had heard good things. And although the food was decent, it was definitely overpriced. Scallops were overcooked. Wait time for food was over 45 mins for 2 meals, even though there was hardly anyone else in the restaurant. We tipped the server well as she was friendly. But one of the staff members behind the counter stared at my wife the entire time she walked to the bathroom. And the entire time she walked back (our table was near the front door). Like they thought she was going to dine & dash or something. But we had already paid for our meal. Made her so uncomfortable she couldn't wait to get out of there. She didn't even finish her drink, she just grabbed her stuff & we left. If she wanted to be stared at at a restaurant we'd eat at a truck stop. Will not be going...
