Magic Wok — Restaurant in Town of Bridgewater

My husband and I love all sorts of Asian cuisine and have enjoyed Chinese food for many years, eating it in multiple cities and places across the world. Which is why I can say this was the worst I have ever had. We both had combo #4, I had the noodles and my husband had the rice. Both were burned and tasted horrible. Also incredibly oily. There is no way they cleaned the pan they used, because everything tasted like a bunch of old food all combined together. The eggroll also was over fried so it tasty super oily, the inside had zero spice or flavour. On top of that the portions are insanely small for the price. The take out containers were filled only halfway. The server would take a big spoon of rice and then knock off half of it before putting it in the container. She then literally dished out my noodles with chopsticks, COUNTING as she served. Then removing one noodle at a time. I wish I could say I was joking. Oh, and when we wanted to take away she was very irritated, tried to convince us to sit, because basically she didn’t want to use up her containers. One of the worst food and customer experience you will get from bridgewater. Whoever owns this shop need to take a class on customer service. Food: the quantity was way less what you pay for. Baby portion items for adult and literally the lady who served me was pinpoint on the quantity. If she feels she served too much, she will put it back. Customer interaction was pathetic. They have to understand that the restaurant survive when people spend money, and they have to respect the people who come and buy food. A good smile and a thank you word will make a difference. Well, i didnt see none of it in this restuarant and when i paid the money , the lady who prepared it pushed the item as if she is giving out it for free. I’ve come to defend this place from all these recent negative reviews because, I never had any issues during all my visits here. Which must have been a couple dozen times now. They make the best Singapore Noodles in my opinion. I don’t know how they get that beef to taste so tangy but it really flairs the flavour of the whole dish. They are professional and are courteous in most of my experiences. I think it is a family run business in a small town and they take breaks from time to time, which is where these negative reviews are coming from, I would believe. They are not slaves people!! My wife loves the Lo Mein and egg roll from here as well.

Buddy who complained about their mark-up from a 99c drink, it is a friggen restaurant dude. They do that with drinks. Better than some places that mark up a $1.50 bottle of beer...
