Went in with my family after visiting for the first time in a few years. Walked past a guy smoking outside, which was gross enough, Went into the restaurant and a lovely waitress greeted us and asked how many people we had. It was 5. (4 adults and a toddler) she said she would look for a place for us. The man smoking came in, and almost walked right into my 3 year old and said in a nearly irritated voice "I'm not sure we'll have a table" to which my mother politely responded "well the young lady was looking for a table for us" to which he said "I don't think we'll have one" and he walked away. Already offput by his attitude we were still waiting. We see the Lady go to clean off a larger table for us which was great. The guy came back and said that it'll be a 30 minute wait, (which would have been fine) and my mom said "she actually started cleaning that table there, and it might be for us" then this guy shoves his hand in my mom's face and says "well I am the manager and she hasn't told me about it", which... I mean what waitress tells their manager about every person they seat (to my surprise my mom didn't try to snap his finger) and gave even more attitude to us. At this point, we made the decision to leave and not bother waiting for a seat because what manager sticks their hand in a customers face after being the most disrespectful, and most arrogant person I've dealt with in a long time. Being in management myself, this is just unacceptable behavior and I can only imagine how he treats the staff at this location if this is how he treats his customers. Will definitely not...
Read moreI had a terrible experience here. It started out ok. We were seated and the waitress took our drink order (water). Then it took about 15-20 minutes from there for her to come back and take our food order. Not exactly pleased it took so long considering the restaurant was only about a third full. We finally get our orders in, it's wing night so I got a basket of wings. I finished my water. Cue about a 40 minute wait to finally get my basket of wings. A basket of 5 very small, super old, over cooked, gross tasting wings. They looked like they had been mummified. I've eaten a lot of bad wings (like a lot) but these might have taken the cake as the worst. I ate them because I was starving and needed some kind of food. Now I will say that I share a lot of the blame in this scenario. I assumed that a pub with a wing night would know what they're doing. It takes a few minutes to cook up some wings, it's one of the fastest menu items there is. 40 minutes!!! For the smallest wings ever. How is that even possible! Again, the restaurant was not very busy. I had put in a second order of wings when my first order arrived, because I was very hungry and usually that's how I do it on a wing night. As soon as I ate some of the wings, I found our waitress (she was almost never around) and cancelled my second order. Just an all around terrible experience; the service, the wait, the food. Also, I put empty water glass at the edge of the table like you do. You think I ever got a...
Read moreComing through Bridgewater,NS after visiting family we decided to try this restaurant. We chose the weekly special which was beer battered fish and chips for $15.50. The waitress was very nice and let us pick our own seating in the upper level area. She came promptly to take our orders and bring our lemon water. The lighting was very dim in the area we sat and the ambience was comfortable. The order came quickly. It was served in a basket style plate. The presentation was nice and appealing. After moving the fish around we noticed the amount of fries were skimpy. My husbands fish were done too well and mine were undercooked slightly in the middle. I took off 90% of my batter as it was too greasy for my liking. The fish pieces were very very thin. On the bright side, the coleslaw, tartar and service was excellent! We would go back to try other dishes and probably sit in the lower level where natural...
