Not impressed with this place, which we had high hopes for. There were 7 of us to be seated together, slightly larger than the average table so we understood it would take a bit longer to accommodate us, but we were waiting far longer than we should. We waited 10 minutes at the crowded entrance while others got to go and get seated. Once we were finally seated we had a longer wait to even order our drinks. Finally we had our drinks, and we all ordered. 6 appetizers, and 3 meals. We figured since they submitted the appetizers all at once they would come all at once. We waited 20-30 minutes with nothing coming our way at all, but we watched 9 other tables around us walk in the pub, get seated, order drinks, get drinks, order meal, get meal, all before we got our first 2 appetizers. Which they did, only bring us 2 appetizers at once. We had a long day, and we were hoping to come and have a nice dinner together, but all we were ordering was coming at different times. On top of the long wait times, they completely forgot about my partners drink order. The food itself was also not the greatest, and the selection was minimal. Once we had finished eating and the server cleared our table, we still sat there for about 20 more minutes waiting for our bills. Not only the service was bad, the table we were seated at was sticky and the chairs felt like rocks. It was VERY loud inside, I couldn’t hear the person across from me speak. Quite a few flies buzzing around, landing on our drinks and plates. Their ladies and male washroom had no paper towel each. Overall NOT a good experience, we will not be returning or recommending. It was unfortunate, as we had made this a fun trip to the south shore as we are not from here, but it had a disappointing ending. Would probably give 0...

Chicken was perfectly seasoned and juicy, bun was toasted to near perfection, and the chorizo mayo sauce was as complimentary as you'd hope it would be. The summer salad offered an extremely fresh take on the sweet and sour fruit inspired salad, featuring Mandarin, Watermelon and Mango, aswell as cherry tomatoes and thin sliced cucumber halves. The dressing was perfect, and the goat cheese cut through the sidedish with expertise and grace.
I also ordered a beer to start, while requesting a Jagerbomb. Bombs were unavailable, but the amazing staff suggested "Liquid Cocaine" which really opened my eyes to Jager's potential.
The staff is friendly, inclusive, and personable. One thing I take from my experience is the comfort of the staff, sharing stories of personal importance without much thought, truly relating to the customers on a personal level, while offering some of the best service along the way. I was greeted by Cody, served by Annalise, and entertained by Rachel. These three staff members went above and beyond making a solo first time patron feel at home. I will gladly return to this establishment, and can't wait to see what sort of specials the kitchen...
Read moreI have only been here once and while it was busy and we had to wait, the visit was worth it. After a long day of hiking and birding, this was our supper stop before the large push to get home.
We sat on the deck overlooking the river and a wonderful warm night and had some good pub food and beer. I can't say the food was outstanding so that I'd rave about it but it was still good, solid pub food. The atmosphere made it all the better.
At first I was a little irked that we had to wait so long as we were the only ones waiting and there were free tables, but realized that they looked 1 or maybe 2 staff short even for the tables they had. But once we were seated, our server was excellent and also made the meal more enjoyable. One of those servers that you tip more as they were so helpful v.s. just tipping the regular amount because you have to.
I was in Bridgewater just yesterday and almost went again but decided that I wouldn't replicate the experience just being alone but the next time I am back in town, which is often, with another person then this will be my go-to pub.
UPDATE: I went back with my brother and had another excellent...
