Texas Gate Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Town of Cochrane

So obviously, the Texas gate thinks that the Stanley Cup happens every week. Because I went there last night to watch the hockey game because it could’ve been the last game for Edmonton and the waitress said in 20 minutes line dancing starts and they turn the sound off Well, there was probably 80 people there for the hockey game and four people for line dancing so just because line dancing happens every Tuesday. I’m sure they could’ve held off until the game was over. The sad part is I’ve noticed that restaurants are closing down in COCHRANE and when you do stupid things like this and you lose customers over stupidity that’s why restaurants close down So I won’t be going back to Texas I won’t as one person make this company fold, but maybe they need to wake up and cater to the people that keep them in business not four ...

Just when I thought I found a good spot to hang out on this day October 6th 2024. I was told by the bar tender that I cannot stay in the establishment because I didn't present an identification. I felt do embarrassed because I was talking to another bartender when she but in. I am much older than her I was joking with security then showed my ID. I proceed to the bar area when whoever her name is said sir you have to leave because you didn't present an ID. Everyone else said to me it's ok for me to stay. I felt very bad because I was the only black man in there. I exited and showed my ID to security again. I went over to duck's and had a good time. Disappointing Experience with Overcooked Steak I recently visited the Texas Gate in Cochrane, excited to try their steak. Unfortunately, my experience fell short of expectations. I ordered a steak medium rare, but it arrived dry and overcooked. When I addressed this issue with the staff, hoping for a resolution, I was informed that sending it back would result in being charged for another steak. This response was disappointing and not in line with the customer service I had hoped for. While I understand that mistakes can happen in any kitchen, the handling of this situation was unsatisfactory. I hope this feedback helps improve future dining experiences for others.
