Cochrane Movie House — Local services in Town of Cochrane

I really liked this theater as it had a lot of available comfortable seating. It was as simple as it gets & that's all that's needed for a great movie experience. It was quiet & clean, staff was friendly & welcoming. Cost is most definitely reasonable compared to Cineplex.

What I absolutely did not enjoy is the rude teenagers who constantly are whispering throughout the movie. Talking for 15 minutes straight at one point, I had to turn around & ask them to stop talking; & they still kept talking. If you want to conversate, leave the theater & go do that in the lobby; I did not come here to watch a movie listening to snakes behind me. I'm not even sure why this needs to be addressed other then this generation of today seems to have no broughtupsy & no consideration of others. Very selfish minded.🤫

Great little movie house for a smaller town. Decent selection of shows. Some don't stick around too long but they only have a limited number of screens so they have to move things around. The show you want will come in eventually. Most of the new action shows are only in 3D so if you don't like 3D you may be out of luck. Im not a huge fan of 3D. Of course if they didn't offer 3D somebody would complain about that. You can't please everybody. My only real complaint - you have to pay cash for the popcorn. And it's not that they don't have a credit card machine. You can buy your tickets with plastic. But not popcorn. Weird. So bring cash I guess. Otherwise you can't go wrong with this...

This place is in good condition, always clean, and staff are very helpful. My only problem is the pricing. Concession is overpriced as usual, but tickets are a bit outrageous. I live in Cochrane, and am happy to support local businesses whenever possible, but it sours me a bit to pay $13 ($16 for 3d) to see a movie in a small town theater like this. If I'm going to pay the same price as cineplex or landmark, I want the big screen, big sound, comfy seats, etc, which the movie house does not have.

I know they're running a business, but I think adult tickets need to be less than $10 for me to consider staying in Cochrane. End of the day, the tickets are too expensive for...
