What an exquisite experience!

Our waiter was simply phenomenal, the scenery was beautiful, and the food was spectacular! You can always taste the difference when the chef is inspired and knows how to have fun! I love the extensive creativity on display here! Their daily specials menu featured as many dishes as the main menu and the waiter one just which ones to direct me to!

Normally I don't like raw oysters, but these popcorn oysters on diced purple potatoes were EXCEPTIONAL! Crispy and light on the outside (no heavy breading here!) Yet creamy on the inside. Neither raw nor chewey, just right. Hats off to the chef for inspiring me to like these (normally) slimy things with his creative and highly skilled approach! Beautiful presentation on a bed of local kelp.

The turkey leg tostadas were equally incredible! Who needs greasy pork when you can have turkey? The rouge cream on the bottom was next level amazing! I need that recipe, it's SO GOOD! The pickled veggies and cilantro on top balanced it out ever so harmoniously!

The chocolate torte's presentation was as beautiful as it gets! The berry gel and carmel pearls was a creative addition! The tiny but of mint adds even more flavors to oscillate between and play with.

My partner got the Cobb salad, which was awfully boring, but decent quality. I'm sure they have to keep classics like this on the menu for the less...

One of our favourite restaurants so far on our journeys around the province.

After a drive down from Fredericton followed by a relatively long exploration of the gardens, this was just what we needed. Firstly, it felt as though they truly cared about your experience. The café grounds are just as beautiful as the gardens. On the inside, from the walls to the art to the tablecloths, it was all on theme which to us was about being bright, fresh, relaxing and a hint of luxury.

The drinks we ended up ordering (a Cavit Pinot Grigio and Katy's Cove Beach Lemonade) even matched the colours of our tablecloth. I had the venison ragu with creamy polenta. The deer was local and well done while the mushrooms, demi-glace and tomato jam all added to the complexity of the meat. The creamy polenta had lots of flavour as it was peppered with herbs. My wife had the Pansotti and couldn't get enough. The pasta was a perfect Al denté and the cream sauce was delicious.

We shared a crème brûlée with biscotti as the mains were very large for a lunch. The crème was perfect, just like everything else and dipping the biscotti in added a nice freshness to the cookie. Our server was very attentive and friendly which capped off the whole experience nicely.

Don't forget to take a stroll through the mini gallery as well before you leave. It's a...

After learning that the Café was offering Sunday brunch, I looked forward to the experience. Unfortunately my meal was hugely disappointing and far from the quality I have often enjoyed in the past at the Café. My ‘brunch’ consisted of a fishy, burnt, deep fried croquette, 2 small overdone 1/2 pieces of bacon, two plain fried eggs and a very slim piece of toast with a teaspoon of tomato jam. No fresh fruit, no flair, and in short nothing to savour. To add insult to injury that meal cost me over $33! The one redeeming quality was my server, Peyton, who was pleasant, polite and attentive. I did share my experience with head Chef Alex Huan.

Thank you Chef Huan for your timely response and your kind offer of a complimentary brunch. To clarify, I did note that I would not have wanted my friends to have been disappointed in their brunch as well. I thoroughly enjoy dining alone and experience it as ‘an indulgence, not a punishment’. :-) I was a solo guest for your Savour in the Garden dining experience and the meal was outstanding. My issue is with the brunch meal only, and the brunch menu too. Thus I will pass on your complimentary brunch, but will return for lunch or dinner some day, which I know I will enjoy. Kind...

Extraordinary meal with impeccable service. We had the nine course tasting menu with a bottle of rose wine. Each course was exceptional starting with the foie gras. Then oysters three ways followed by salmon gravlax. Next, the sun choke cappuccino was out of this world and truly unique. This was followed by an extraordinary risotto, perfectly cooked, with pea shoots, sheep’s cheese and garlic chives. This was followed by the “Ocean Floor” which consisted of butter sous vide lobster, seared halibut, sea asparagus, wild ramp cream, sabayon, Israeli CPU’s couscous and pink peppercorn confetti. For desserts, rhubarb and berries, followed by incredible cookies, then followed by chocolate truffles with sea salt ganache. Chef Alex Haun is to be applauded. The setting was perfect. A once in a lifetime meal. And best of all, everything served was locally grown in New Brunswick.
