We recently visited Kinsbrae for a special event -Lucy the Lady Bug Birthday Celebration.

We arrived at ~10:30 for an event that was advertised as 9 am to 13:00. Supposedly geared towards children we arrived with our 2 grandchildren (4 &2) the entrance fee for our family of 2 seniors, 2 adults and 2 children was 78.00. By the time we made our way to the kids entertainment area (bouncy castles, ballon art and face painting) it was ~ 11:30. By the time we made it into the line for the first of these 3 attractions it was 11:50 and they informed the line these events were ending at 12.

There was a schedule apparently although when we paid our entrance fee there was no mention of that and it was printed on the map but not brought to our attention. We assumed the advertised duration of the “party” was inclusive of all the elements advertised. Not that it would have matter the line up was excessive And absolutely no way all of the kids present could have gotten through the 3 lines.

We left without having access to any of these attractions much to the dismay of the young members of our group. The sentiment seemed to shared by many of the families walking out with us, lots of disappointment was obvious with the kids walking away from the “party” with no ballon art, no face paint and not understanding why they could not get in the bouncy castles.

We did reach out the organizers and after 5 days received a very curt response saying the schedule was provided when you entered the park and they had received lots of positive response...

We visted a few weks ago for a kiddy event; Lucy’s Birthday Bash. It is a lively, family-friendly event that celebrates the garden’s beloved ladybug mascot, Lucy. It is held annually and clearly designed with kids in mind—but adults will appreciate the effort and atmosphere too.

The event features some of Atlantic Canada’s largest bouncy castles, which are a huge hit with younger visitors. There are also costumed princesses and superheroes roaming the grounds, available for photos and meet-and-greets. It’s a nice touch that adds a bit of magic to the day. The garden itself is beautiful and well-maintained.

That said, it can get crowded, especially around the photo areas and bouncy castles.

Overall, Lucy’s Birthday Bash was a fun activity. It’s ideal for families with young children or anyone looking for a cheerful day out in Saint Andrews. Just come early, bring sunscreen, and be ready for a bit of chaos—in...

Im sure this is worth every penny for entry fee. This place was recommended as a go to place to see. I drove from Cocagne to see 2 places the gardens and Ministers Island. I got to the gardens at 5:15 and was told that they stop allowing entry st 5pm. They close at 6pm. This was advertised as 6pm as well. No mention of a cut off time. This was so disappointing to me. I wouldnt have minded be warned that I would have to speed up my viewing and would be expected to leave at 6pm. But they would not consider this option. Perhaps you should have expressed the cut off time for the gardens to advise people of this. I passed 2 other couples coming into the place as we were walking out. So I'm not the only one who wasn't aware of this cut off time. I would have took this into consideration with my timing that day as well. This was so disappointing!!! Took some photos of the exterior...

If you're looking for a place to relax and connect with the beauty of nature, you must visit this location. The vibrant colors will open your heart, and the variety of plants will showcase how much there is to enjoy. Everything is designed and arranged in harmony. They charge an entrance fee, but I believe it's worth the experience. The animals are cute and friendly, and the trails are lovely. However, please be cautious of red ants. Our dog was bothered by them before we figured it out. I recommend visiting on a cloudy day, as there isn't much shade. We found it quite hot and exhausting by the end of our visit due to the sun exposure.

Kingsbrae Garden is absolutely stunning and so beautifully maintained. Everything possible is done to keep the gardens in perfect condition, and you can truly see the dedication and effort put into managing it so well. It’s a wonderful place to visit, relax, and enjoy nature’s beauty. One small recommendation would be to consider slightly reducing the entry fee, though we completely understand the expenses involved in maintaining such a high standard. Overall, an excellent experience and definitely worth a visit!

Loved the gardens and animals we drove two hours to get here for a visit with my family, tried to get into the cafe, staff were quite rude about us not having a reservation, and when buying stuff at the gift shop the guy at the front desk was more interested in the other guests that he seemed to know, to the point that I actually asked if I was allowed to buy stuff at his desk. Overall everything was amazing when we weren’t interacting with other people
