Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Town of Valleyview

I don’t even know why I keep coming back to this place. First off, the assistant manager doesn’t know how to take an order. Constantly messes it up. The one time we tried to order she put an extra ice cream and drink on, and tried to make us pay for it?? And when we said we didn’t order it she told us we did.. meanwhile we ordered combos that came with our drink and ice cream. Then, the wait time to actually get your food is atrocious. Most of the times you’re missing items. The one day they forgot our fries and 2 milks. Husband went in and the assistant manager actually asked him if he was sure we were missing the kids milks? Like what?? It took him offering her to come CHECK THE CAR, for her to give them to us. On the bright side I guess she did remember she didn’t put the fries in since that wasn’t a problem. Don’t even bother paying for or asking for condiments- you won’t get them. Oh and the best one yet. My husband went through the drive through, ordered a backyard bacon ranch burger. They made him a mushroom one, so he went back. The girl at the window didn’t understand, so he SHOWED her a picture. She said okay and then proceeded to make him the same mushroom burger. He went back AGAIN, and she finally made it right but then told him he had to pay for it… after he already paid for it. She tried to tell him and she goes ‘oh so you don’t want it?’ Seriously? He just paid for it AGAIN since clearly she wasn’t going to get it. I called and they offered me another burger.. I asked for a refund instead and thankfully the gentleman who answered the phone was apologetic and told me to swing by the next day and they would do it. (I forgot to go though lol). Anyways. I’m convinced they have the worst service in all...

Edit: Upgrading to 4 stars because management contacted me and openly discussed the issue and rectified it, not just for me corrected the error in-store.

I frequent this DQ quite a bit. I find most staff to be friendly and good service. It was my go-to for fast food in Valleyview.

But I noticed that the 2 for 6$ deal is not only not a deal, but actually a way to overcharge for items. If you choose a medium drink, you actual pay 50 cents MORE for your drink. I bought 3 items, a wrap, fries and a med. drink. I was charged 2 for 6$ for the drink and wrap, then a full 3$ for the fries. According to the cashier the till does this automatically and they can't change it to pay regular price for the drink. There was apparently no way NOT to overcharge me.

I won't be going back until they sort out their pricing and stop overcharging on the 2...

Absolutely unimpressed with the service here, the staff stumble over one another - one of the elderly customers that came in behind me was wearing a mask, he took it off and took a shot of his inhaler, the manager told the cashier that he can't be served without a mask, the cashier served him anyway, then the manager tried to withhold his order. I was appalled. I got my order and walked 50ft to my truck (outside the building is gross, garbage strewn across the lot - that is actually quite normal for Valleyview (dirty town), anyway, by the time I got to my truck my burger and fries were cold, I did not have the time to go back in as I had already waited about 25 minutes in the store for them to make my order. I won't be going back there...
