Disgusting Experience – Filthy, Understocked, and Completely Unprofessional
Walked in around 1:30–2:00 PM and instantly regretted it. The counter was empty, no greeting, no urgency, and most of the ingredients were completely out — no veggie patties, no cheese, no fried onions, no pickles, no banana peppers, and the olives looked far from fresh. When asked why, I was told, “delivery is tomorrow,” like that’s an excuse to not stock or prep the store properly.
The counters and shelf tops were filthy — visibly dirty — and when I raised this with the manager, he casually blamed it on a “busy day.” There were THREE staff members and barely TWO customers. Not once did anyone offer to restock, or even acknowledge the mess.
My toasted bread sat open for almost 10 minutes while cheese melted into the dirty counter. Meanwhile, another sandwich with meat was being prepared on the same surface right next to mine — no separation, no hygiene, no wrapping — and I had clearly said I’m a strict vegetarian. Completely unacceptable.
This wasn’t a one-off. On my last visit, they made my sandwich without changing gloves after handling meat. Hygiene is clearly not a priority at this location.
To top it off, I ordered a sandwich for a friend and even that was a disaster. The staff literally didn’t know how to dice tomatoes and kept asking us how to do it — four times. Absolutely zero training or standards. I kept calm thinking they’d feel embarrassed. They didn’t. I spent $10 for something I wouldn’t feed to anyone.
The pictures I have don’t even show how nasty the counters were. I genuinely don’t understand how this place is still allowed to operate. Health inspections seriously need to take a look.
Avoid this location at all costs. If you want to ruin your meal and your mood, go ahead and try your luck here. Worst experience ever — and that’s with the manager...

Last Monday, I went to Subway Valleyview and to my disgust, they don't have my favorite pepper jack cheese AGAIN. Actually, only one kind of cheese was left on display.
No drinks to choose from cause their fridge is totally wiped out--like NO DRINKS at all! They took out the fountain drink machine and didn't even have bottled drinks available. What a great restaurant. Very well stocked.
But I am not surprised because as I'm scrolling through previous reviews, the problem they have right now is still the same. Why have a drive thru option when nobody will respond?! The staff on duty made the customers wait for more than 15-20 minutes before their orders were taken. What the heck?
Also, that indian guy was very rude. I was about to order but he didn't even look at me and proceeded to walk away using his cellphone and yapping away with his airpod on his ear. I had to wait a few more minutes before someone finally took my order.
To the owner, might as well close down for good if this is how you run your business.
So disappointing!
Old review:
It has been frustrating and a big disappointment that this branch of Subway is always out of stock! How come every time I visit to order my favorite subs and rice bowls, there's always something missing? Either they're out of cheese, vegetable or deli. Always with the excuse of "we're out of that today". Why say "today" when I've gone there for 3 consecutive days and they say the same thing. It's not just this week or last week, it's been like this for months!!! Why say you're serving the full variety of fresh foods when you're exactly doing the opposite, it's always limited. Please, that's not how you do business. Subway is one of my go-to places when I stay in Valleyview so I hope the owner or management will do something about this...
Read moreStopped here for a quick lunch. Not feeling the hottest so just chicken noodle soup. Service was prompt but confused me a little. The lady came to the till and greeted me, I ordered a small chicken noodle soup and then was told to go to the other end of the counter, ok. I walked about halfway down and told her I only want soup and nothing else. She motioned for me to come to the very end and then asked me “what would you like.” I mean I understand they have the order here at the end for the sandwiches but honestly I’m already not feeling very well. I didn’t see the point in making me walk to the other end especially since she was the one who greeted me at the till...
