Be careful when you park here- I was wrongfully ticketed by their private parking company in their lot while buying a tea, and I’ve appealed it TWICE with no luck. (They’re somehow convinced I walked off the lot.)
My craving for tea cost me over $100 here. I have better things to do than stress about my car while I’m patronizing YOUR business.
EDIT: Okay here we go. So after all this, I had a chat with their manager, who ACKNOWLEDGED that Diamond Parking has been known to scam patrons in this parking lot, and they’ve faced past frustrations with them.
That being said, I asked her if she would be willing to write a letter to them confirming that I was wrongfully ticketed, to which she seemed initially willing to… until she ghosted me.
I continued to tell her that this is going to evolve into a legal battle between me and Diamond Parking, which her establishment does business with. She gave 0 care.
Today I was given a letter that her parking enforcement had sent my information to Wiggins- their credit collection agency.
The fact that your establishment could acknowledge this inconvenience from a paying customer, express that this has happened TO OTHER PEOPLE, have control to solve it, and STILL let me face these problems is unforgiveable to me.
Not only will I never be returning to this location, but I will actively discouraging anyone who will listen from coming to this establishment.
Next time, take care of your paying customers.
And don’t even bother replying with your copy-paste message asking me to email you again. You’ve already proven useless when it comes to resolving issues. I don’t want your free tea, I wanted you to be decent and help when you...
Read moreI have seen multiple reviews about the staff working at this location and I am able to relate to them. The employees are definitely undertrained and the young girl working on Saturday evenings definitely does not have etiquette. She does not know how to respond to queries. With my multiple experiences at different Chaiwala locations and recently talking to an employee at the Surrey Chaiwala I figured that Mastercard does not work at their locations if used via apple pay. A couple of months ago me and my friend went to the Langley location where both of us tried to pay via our individual mastercards via apple pay when both of our payments did not go through due to the reason mentioned before. We pointed this to the young girl behind the counter to make sure the machine was working fine. The way she reacted made me and my friend very insulted in front of so many people at this tiny store where pretty much everyone can hear what is happening at the counter. She not only was not aware of the fact that their machines do not take Mastercard via ApplePay even though I am pretty sure so many people might be using the same method throughout the day, she went on to comment “but everybody else’s payments went through” making it seem like as if me and my friend were to trying get our $10.00 order for free by pointing it to be their mistake. Luckily we had cash on us. This felt very humiliating as everybody else heard what...
Read moreThis is a small cafe that serves small Indian style meals and drinks. Unlike the name, it doesn’t have anything related to English cuisines. Name should be Chaiiwala of India. I ordered the classic karak chai, which comes in sugar or sugar free and size regular and large, and it has a unique taste unlike most teas out there. I also tried the toasts and they came hot and in a timely manner, although I find the proportions a bit small for how much you are paying. They also have cold drinks from a fridge selling sodas and juice. Just be sure to check the price as I was for some reason charged $3.50, excluding tax, when the price labelled in the fridge was $3.00. When I brought this discrepancy to staff, they say it is because of tax, which it isn’t. They need to update their price tag for the drinks in the fridge. Staff are generally friendly but should pay attention to details like the pricing issue. The interior is well kept, clean, and warm with Punjabi language music playing. There are plenty of seating as benches and tables, soft single couches and a round table. Unfortunately, the entrance is not wheelchair accessible. There are plenty of parking on the property of the cafe. Bathrooms are only for customers and you will need to get a key for access. Overall, I recommend giving this place a try if you are craving their chai drinks and small scale Indian...
