This was the 2nd. time I got a pizza from this location. Unfortunately this was a 2nd. time I was disappointed. The pizza I got this time was overcooked, whatever bacon was included was nearly burnt and totally dry, as were the mushrooms and cheese. The tomatoe sauce was ok, I could detect the Oregano in it. It would be a great idea if they could include a small sheet of waxed paper in the box, under the pizza, to keep it from sticking to the box.
Update: After this review was posted, the owner contacted me and apologised for the mishap and did his best to make amends. I ordered another similar pizza today, which was perfectly done. Thank you Nishant. If I may, I would still recommend a small piece of waxed paper between the pizza and the pizza box, if only to avoid a grease stain on my car seat, or table. I would change the rating to 4 stars, but for some reason Google will only allow me to update this post. so here...
Read moreNot the best pizza i've ever had but papa leos is by far the best pizza in walnut grove in terms of quality and customer service. While the pizza is expensive, the quality of ingredients far surpasses any other pizza place in town. Jims makes good pizza but I've had issues with customer service and Ocean park again has good pizza and probably the best dough but worst customer service. The guy that compared this place to dominoes and pizza hut obviously likes cheap pizza with even cheaper ingredients.
Overall I'd say papa leos is the best pizza place in grove with Jims and Ocean park a close second having worse quality and customer service than papa Leo's but better value i.e. more pizza for less money
EDIT: Just wanted to add in that this is the only place I've ordered a 9 topping pizza from that turned out absolutely perfect and was one of the best pizzas ive ordered. Ive ordered many 9...
Read moreNot terrible. But by no means good. I decided to try Leo’s because they got good ratings and the pictures looked pretty good. I probably will never order again. The toppings were of decent quality, but the dough was terrible. I knew it as soon as I grabbed the first slice. It was like a wet/greasy slime texture on the bottom. The dough is kinda chewy and rough (insert Simpsons joke 😂). Pizza was on time, just under 40 min. They quoted me 40-50. I would put this pizza somewhere between panago and dominos. Better than little Cesar’s, about par with Pizza Hut. In the area however, Jim’s is the best.
I am truly amazed at all the high ratings. It is evident that people in this area have no idea what good pizza is. I call it the walnut grove...
