14th March Early pm shift 9522 200th Street Re: ""BOSS" with multi-coloured hair, glasses. Out of all the SB in Langley, I ended up at this one. The experience was like no other, ever, in any coffee shop before. I ordered an Americano with "room." The young man was very pleasant. He provided cream and sugar on the side. I mixed my coffee and realized that I needed more cream. I approached the counter and asked the "BOSS" for more. She asked me how much I had already. ?? I was surprised by the question, so I asked her if that mattered. I don't know how much I had - it didn't come in a measuring cup. She proceeded to lecture me on how I should be charged for more cream bc they are only allowed to provide a certain amount. So, how is the "certain amount" determined? Not everyone's tastes are the same. I never usually order a grande, but I did this time because it was on a gift card. She begrudgingly gave me a minimal amount of cream and started to walk away, still talking to me, facing the other direction, assuring herself that she was going to have the last word.
It was cream.
Cost? A few cents likely balanced out by the next guy who paid the same amount for his coffee but didn't use cream. So, in the end, the "BOSS" has not only earned a bad review for herself on SM but has tarnished the name of her employer - all for a few cents worth of cream. Had she given me the cream and carried on with her "bossism," I wouldn't have had to write this review. I had never been in this SB before, and rest assured, I will never go back. There are plenty of SB in Langley, so should I travel through there again, I will find another. Finally, based on many other reviews, I think there are MANY customers who won't be going back. And by the way, if the "BOSS" would like me to send a few cents for the cream, please advise. *I cannot say for sure if this person was a supervisor or not. She shouldn't be, because her customer service skills leave a lot to be desired. This will be my...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI usually go here by drive-through and it really depends who is serving you. Not everyone understand what's actual customer service mean! I came here on Saturday and had a chai tea latte. It was too sweet like to put a jar of whole sugar in my cup. I couldn't drink it. I'm posting this video here. I was not going to do that because the same day I talked to Kyle on the phone. I called and explained about my drink and he said next time I come I'm just gonna get a complementary drink anyways the next day, which was Sunday yesterday I came here and I explain what happened and basically I didn't want to get the same drink. I always get different drinks from Starbucks. It's not always the same, but I know every drink tastes. So I got my pastry and I explained about the situation the girl, the young girl understand but the older lady she started arguing with me,that since that happened you have to get this and usually it's a change for the same drink and I really don't get it. I came in the day before and I didn't have a drink because they messed my drink a day before and they're not even trying to make up for that instead they're making it worse and she's arguing with me that I should get the same drink for that but who's gonna make it right for the time that I came a day before and I went home and I end up not having a drink so that was totally rude and disrespectful and not even making it out for what they had a day before.im posting this for the owner to address. When you are working in food service if you messed up something just at least try be apologetic and make it right. Don't argues for a dollar or a cent difference with customers. I don't even know how much is the difference of the ice chai tea with chai latte lavender syrup that I got on...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreStopped here Saturday morning around 11am for my first and last visit while on my way to an appointment. Drive thru took over the entire parking lot so I figured I'd step inside instead. After ordering my drink customized to my liking (Brown sugar oat Americano without water, extra cinnamon) I waited by the counter. A barista with long brown hair waved me over and proceeded to harrass & scold me on my drink customization.
"Just so you know, you can't order your drink like this. Because it's an Americano it has to have water or else it's considered a latte. I'll do it because I don't really care but just know that if you ordered this when a manager was here they won't let you because it's a loophole."
I informed her that I have been ordering my drink like this for over a month now regularly and never encountered this problem. She repeated herself about how "she doesn't really care" while simultaneously caring enough to "warn" me about my apparently illegal drink order in between scolding the cashier for even allowing me to place the order all while 5 other employees are trying to make drinks around them.
Absolutely ridiculous. This woman needs her priorities straightened out.
The place was slammed busy so I'll wave it off as the lady must have been overwhelmed and figured being a weirdo over the technicalities of a drink was warranted. Why has noone charged me for the latte then? Because it's the same damn price and it's a NON-ISSUE. I've worked at Starbucks and know it doesn't matter. I've never encountered a rude employee at a Starbucks before and is a leading reason why I return to their stores so this is pretty off-putting.. maybe she should find a better suited job as her customer service and training...
