Ordered 2 footlongs for my teens through UberEats- arrived quickly and was nicely left at front door. Opened the subs, one was incorrect. The Italian BMT had no cheese, was not toasted, and did not have olives on it. Originally thought the Turkey sub was missing it’s cheese too, but it was actually melted underneath the sauces. I called the restaurant 30 min later to mention this. The woman named Raman found the order slip, and said that she cannot believe anything was wrong because the subs were made in front of her. I told her I could send her a photo to show what I’m saying is true, and she just kept saying that she can’t understand how it could be wrong. I offered to come in and discuss, she said ok. I went in and pulled up my UberEats order, and she showed me their order slip. They matched. She said, “I’m sorry, but we make it exactly the way it comes out [on the order slip]. I then showed her the photos, and she continued to say that I was wrong. She insisted that there was cheese on the sub. Admitted it was not toasted. The olives? She laughed and said, “We don’t have green olives.” I asked why it is an option to add them then, and she mumbled something about head office. Essentially, she was gaslighting me. Telling me that what I’m seeing was not actually what I was seeing. I also offered up the fact that my son ate the sub, and so in addition to me poking around his sub to find cheese, he did not taste any of the habanero Jack cheese. When I realized that Raman would not be offering any kind of a resolution to this, I took the other uneaten sub and just said, “You know what? That’s ok. We just won’t order from here anymore”, and put the sub in the garbage. The customer at the till who’s seen this entire interaction just had her jaw on the floor, and suggested to Raman and her coworker that maybe they make us a new sub? Raman shrugged her shoulders and just shook her head. Our family lives a couple of blocks from this location, and we order at least 2 times per week there. It’s unfortunate that they would choose that hill to die on, and lose a regular customer. What has happened to...
Read moreWISH I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS. I don't know if it's just a lazy thing or owners are actively trying to train their employees poorly but it seems like every subway in the Langley area has the same terrible service. I use to work and manage multiple subways and I can speak from personal experience. It doesn't take a lot of extra effort to make a decent sub. At the very least, the person making the sub could pay attention to the customer and actually make it the way they ask. In my case, there were multiple instances where I explained how I wanted things done and I was either asked repeatedly the same questions or I had to correct the person. for example, I asked for one of my subs microwaved and they put it in the toaster. I asked for a single line of mayo and they put on 3 lines. I asked for a little bit of sweet onion sauce and they proceed to squeeze the bottle like it owed them money! The last and final straw was the ever popular cutting of the sandwich with the nasty, dirty knife from the magical slot below the counter that probably hasn't been cleaned out all day. I call this the special sauce bonus and lucky for everyone, it's free to charge. Be better people, try just a little harder. Most Subways have tip box at the end of the counter. Can you honestly say you deserve to ask for a tip, even if it's passively just sitting there so the customer drops their loose change in it? I miss making my own subs. oh...
Read moreThis location renovated to a more modern and bright theme. We order from both in-store and online for pick up, eating at home. For the most part, our orders were correct. However, I noticed sometimes the staff missed ingredients or did not follow side notes. For instance, one time we ordered online and stated we want cheese on the side in the side note section, but they put cheese in the sandwich anyways and put sauce on the side instead. I also noticed when we ordered a sandwich stating to be grilled, it wasn't grilled. When ordering inside, I sometimes see food pieces outside of their corresponding bins and on other bins. Service is generally decent. Some days, the staff is in a cheerful mode, and others they are not. There are a variety of snack and drink options. The interior is clean and navigable. The preparation time is reasonable, though during busy times, expect to wait a little longer. Pricing is also decent. Sometimes there are discount coupons that are delivered in the mail that can...
