Very disappointed with the service of this restaurant. Went to the restaurant last Saturday for the first time. Being a local I have heard many good things about the restaurant, I thought I would give it a try. 3 of us went and we were lucky to get a table as it was very busy. Our waitress was very nice and accomodating and recommended some dishes to try. All 3 of us decided to try the combination dinners. My sister said she does not like deep fried yet the 2 meat choices were. The menu did not specify this. What was disappointing was we ordered 2 spring roll apps and only one app arrived but not before our dinner but during our dinner. My partner did not receive his meal at all. My sister went up and complained and the most senior experienced waitress who worked at the restaurant for over 24 years said infront of our waitress who has only worked there for one weekweek, that it was her fault because of the way she put the order in. The experienced waitress belittled the waitress infront of a customer which is not professional or nice. The young waitress was very upset. My sister told her she was not mad at her and that we would take the second order of spring rolls and the other dinner to go. My sister said we should not have to pay for the food that we took to go and the only compensation we received was 10% off. When I went to pay I did include a tip for our waitress as she is new and trying her best. The other waitress said that the waitress was new and it was her fault that this happened and next time we should order from her. Bad mouthing her again. Not impressed. We got home 5 minutes later, and my partner began eating his food and it was cold. Another disappointment. I called tbe restaurant and told the lady on the phone of our experience and told her we were upset and that I was going to write a google review and she totally understood why. Always say that I'm not going back. Sub Standard Food at Best. This time I ordered what was to be a Veggie Stirfry on Noodles. Receive it, discover the "noodles" are thick Fetuccine Noodles not thin Noodles you would expect at a Chinese Restaurant. Asked about the Sauce. Told it was a Teriyaki Sauce. Ah, No....Zero Test. Asked if there would be Snowpeas as they Historically run out, was told yes. Found 2 Snowpeas. Left the majority of the food and said that it had no taste and was not what was expected. It shocking when I hear that people love this food...then there are the numbers that feel as I do. It helps them as they are the only place like it for miles. When we lived in Buckhorn, this was one of our favourite places to eat. Food was always tasty. Yesterday, we met friends for lunch. Between 4 of us we ordered 5 dishes. The size of each dish was more than adequate. Lemon chicken was good. Ginger beef and Honey/garlic pork: we could not tell the difference between them. They looked the same, they tasted the same and they were both very chewy. Chicken chow mein: huge disappointment. Every chow mein we have ever had consisted of bean sprouts as the main component, plus other veggies and a protein. This one had a very thin layer of bean sprouts on top, with a few pieces of mushroom and chicken. Underneath was a mountain of plain angel hair pasta. Really?
