As weary travelers on a journey back home to New Brunswick from the bustling Halifax airport, our hunger pangs led us to an unexpected gem nestled in Turo.

From the moment we stepped inside, we were greeted by the inviting aroma of authentic Thai spices, setting the stage for a culinary adventure that we would not soon forget. Our meal began with the flavourful spring rolls which redefine crispy perfection. Simply put, they're a bite of bliss that's sure to delight even the most discerning palate. Best ones we have ever had the pleasure to enjoy.

The star of the show was undoubtedly the Panang Curry, a dish that showcased the chefs mastery of Thai spices and seasonings. The creamy cocuonut milk base was infused with aromatic herbs and spices, creating a symphony of flavors that left us craving for more.

Equally impressive was vegetable Pad Thai, a harmonious blend of textures and flavours. The noodles were cooked to perfection, delicately coated in a sweet and tangy sauce that was both comforting and satisfying. The generous portion of fresh vegetables added a vibrant touch to the dish, elevating it to a true culinary masterpiece.

In addition to the wonderful food, was the genuine warmth of the staff. From the friendly greeting to the attentive service throughout our meal. We shared the Pad Thai and Panang and when we asked for an extra plate to do so they brought us each an extra bowl as well as a set of serving utensils for both dishes.

Most definitely recommend! (Pictures do not...

Was there once, it was freezing inside was the first thing i noticed me and my gf had to keep our jackets on, and I'm never cold. We asked the waitress and this and she said the owner won't allow them to turn up the heat lol! The food was ok, the portions were smaller then sahla thai just a street over. And it wasn't as good. They put their bean sprouts the are usually mixed in with the pad Thai on the side which was odd. When we asked for take out containers the waitress informed us that there would be a charge for these. A charge for styrofoam take out containers!! Lol. I was already mad because the food was more expensive and we got less then what we were used to say sahla thai. I vouched then and there to never return. I should add this is not the waitress fault she was great, and you could tell she was embarrassed to tell us that they were going to charge us money for a take out container. Don't waste your money on this mediocre place that's more expensive with smaller portions go a street over and have better quality and bigger portions...

Great spot to check out if you’re passing through Truro!

My sister and I ordered the Thai egg rolls and Panang curry with tofu. My sister said the egg rolls were pretty good. Curry was very flavorful and fresh, delicious! I also appreciate the abundance of vegetarian/vegan options, as well as labeling vegan/veg/gluten free.

The food took a while to arrive and people who had ordered after us received their meals first. We asked one of the waitresses a few times and she continuously just said that it was coming, but then forgot about it. She also forgot to get our bill when we asked for it and later the other waitress brought it for us.

However, later the long wait time was deemed a misunderstanding due to our seat location and the owner was very kind about it. He brought my sister and I his favorite soup to make up for the long wait.

I would say to check out Parichat’s if you’re in the area because everything is made to order - authentic, fresh, delicious Thai cuisine. Service was considerate...

Parichat's (named for the chef) is a great spot for a patio meal. It's located on a main street in Truro with plenty of parking. The server was very nice and the pacing of service was perfect. I had the mango salad (mild spice) with a surprise ingredient - fresh thin apple slices. I asked the server if this was the chef's twist on the dish or perhaps an homage to the agricultural heritage of the area. Either way, it was an interesting flavour combination. I also prefer the salad peanuts crushed instead of whole, but the flavours were still as good. Then, I had the veg and tofu Pad Thai (mild) which I throughly enjoyed - evidenced by the cleaning of my plate! I was passing through Truro and needed a dinner stop. Parichat's had good reviews. I can add mine to the list. I would definitely recommend Parichat's especially in the summer when you can enjoy eating outside.
