Today,December 18,2024, I had to go in to talk to staff about my drive thru order yesterday. My wife and I bought 2 Big Mac Grinch meals in order to get two pairs of free Grinch socks, however we didn't receive them. After explaining it, one friendly member of staff tried to locate the bill on my app,it showed my last purchase was on December 3rd, but DID show I earned points on December 17th! I didn't have the receipt but thought the app would be enough "proof" . I get that McDonald's doesn't want to give away things for free, but we were a little irritated by another employee who decided to intervene and say we should have kept the receipt or called right away. She also said, "Other places wouldn't do this for you.", as she handed two pairs of socks over to us. Well, our plan of forming a Grinch sock empire has been foiled by this brilliant, sharp, minimum wage McDonald's employee! Our cabal will never reach its pinnicale. Retail is tough,I've had similar minimum wage jobs when I was a kid,and it's no picnic. But,when a married couple in their late 50's explain, graciously, how THEY were RIPPED OFF, I don't gaslight them for our mistakes. I make it right, and add apologies. It can be difficult to separate one's hubris or ego when you believe that a customer is trying to trick you, but come on! Get over your ego. Pass the socks over, say, "I'm so sorry for the trouble it caused. If you find the receipt, please share it with me so I can correct the staff members." That's the kind of customer service that I have trained my staff to adhere to. Dismiss your ego. So what if they ripped off a couple of pairs of $2. Made in China socks! It's better to "give away " socks, then to insult a...
Read moreAbsolutely horrible service. Would not eat here even if you paid me to. First thing is, I ordered a complete meal with large fries, the burger was fine albeit Cold. But the fries appeared as if they had used a small fries dispenser to fill the large box, when I shook the box all the fires settled to the bottom of the box.
I also ordered a box of poutine, when I opened the box, it was not hot whatsoever, it just looked like a pile of slop, as if someone had already eaten from my meal.
I decided to call to complain and was told that management is telling the workers to half fill the boxes to save money.
It’s fine if they want to cut back. But don’t charge me for a large when you’re giving me a small! The workers look clueless as if they don’t know their right hand from their left.
I would suggest going to the newly opened Wendy’s which has much friendlier staff with faster service. Soon Popeyes is gonna open up and I hope people boycott this particular location until management can’t get their act right. DO NOT VISIT. Very...
Read moreThe staff is always smiling and friendly. The service is quick and efficient. A pleasant change from the typical experience I have encountered at most other locations. To my disgust I have experienced several times being told that a product I order is 'out of stock', staes such as ice coffee. One particular time I ordered a banana strawberry smoothie wS told 'they were out'.I opted for a second choice however when I pulled up to the window topic my order up, I was told my 2nd choice 'was out of stock'. To my shock, the cashier turned and proceeded to make the smoothie I had originally requested, expaining they were out of my order( the 2nd choice). The fact was clear that the staff simply say they are out of product if they don't feel like making it. More often then not, the orders are incotrect. There is a deffinite lack of pride in their work. This is not the case at the...
