This is easily my favourite brewery in the GTA. After a long day on the bike, whether it be a ride north from Toronto, or an afternoon on the trails in Durham Forest, The Second Wedge is a perfect place to enjoy a beer after a long day in the saddle.

The beer: Joanne, Rob and Doug know their stuff, and have a solid offering on tap to back up that claim. My fav's include their Three Rocks IPA, the Rain Maker Porter, and Witch's Hat (Black IPA)... mmm... so good.

The staff are always friendly, accommodating (bike tools out front, next to an actual bike rack... come on!). I have met and so many other great people while hanging out here. Awesome vibes all around.

Another thing worth mentioning: the patio is fantastic. There's enough shade for hot summer days, but it also gets plenty of sunlight, too.

Overall, there's a great small-town feeling at this place. Uxbridge has a decent array of food that you can order in to the brewery at any time, which is fantastic. I like that the brewery is focusing their efforts on beer, while collaborating with other local business in the area that compliment what they...

Want to say thanks for the Harvest Moon festival you folks organized. What a great event. Met so many new people in our community that just moved in. Love seeing all the kids running around having fun. The weather couldn't of been any better. My wife and I really enjoyed it, so special thanks for putting this on and bringing our amazing community together. I really liked the music from our local musicians we have so much talent in our commu community. Suggestions for next year: 1. More tables to sit and eat. 2. More food, we came for dinner and there wasn't much to choose from. The food was excellent especially the Carne tacos and the slow roasted duck. Maybe the pizza guy that does the sour dough crust at the farmers market, etc. 3. Need a few more taps for serving beer. Line up got pretty long for your amazing product. 4. Maybe your wheat beer. Other then these items which in the scheme of things are trivial, want to just say fantastic job. Look forward to next...

I've been a patron at The Second Wedge for the last few years, and was most recently in last weekend. I called to see what the most recent Covid protocols were and what their policy was, and if they were seating folks on their patio (we always call ahead now so we are't unexpectedly surprised for any estalishment). The person I spoke with was polite and informative. Upon arrival, I was immediately impressed with their attention to detail and safety protocols. I work in a medical clinic, and the safety measures at Second Wedge are the most impressive I've seen at any restaurant or bar establishment. It's great to see the efforts this company has made to remain open, and keep their staff and community members safe- so I'd wholeheartedly recommend supporting this business either for pick-up or to have a seat on their patio for a great beer and a safe dose of "normalcy" in a public setting. Thanks Second Wedge to you and...

This was my second time here, and honestly, pretty disappointing. We ordered the same food as before, but this time the chips(w tartare )were way more burnt. I asked the server about it and they told me to take the dish to the kitchen. So I did, and when I showed the chef the chips were overcooked, they told me they were “supposed to be crispy.” Since when does crispy mean burnt? I asked if they could make a fresh batch with a little less cooking time, but the chef said they had no more chips, even though it was still early in the afternoon. I left pretty unhappy, and then later they randomly brought me a small portion of chips, even after telling me they were out of stock. Little confusing… first it was “no chips,” then suddenly there were chips after all. The first time I came, I actually recommended this place to friends. But after today, between the food and the attitude, I definitely wouldn’t.

What a great place to spend some time on a lazy summer afternoon. We stopped in on a Saturday evening and were warmly greeted. I got a flight so I could sample several of their beers. I was happy with three of the four I tried: High Grass had lovely flavours of lemongrass and ginger making it a great beer for a warm evening. Rainmaker Porter had great chocolate and coffee notes without the heaviness sometimes associated with darker beers. 3 Rocks IPA had wonderful citrus notes. I liked these three so much I bought some from the bottle shop to bring home. Not only was the beer enjoyable, but the patio was amazing. We shared one of the large tables with two other couples and enjoyed the conversation amongst fellow beer lovers. I would definitely go back for another visit.
