We loved this place! The decor is classic and timeless, rustic western theme cabin feel. Very well maintained and cared for. You could not replace this style again, so a certain level of appreciation must be had for how its been maintained over the years. Bathrooms were clean and spacious. The service was above and beyond. Our waitress was attentive, caring for children and understanding to a severe allergy to insure we were safe. We had a larger group (family of 7) and received perfect service during a dinner rush. The food was awesome, it's more a traditional home cooked meal at grandma's rather than a resturant and I mean that in a good way! My wife doesn't like mushrooms so they swapped out for steamed broccoli with a cheese sauce (which was delicious!). Also they bring fresh baked cheese bread before your meal and it was perfect! Special mentions/takeaways 1.Homemade horseradish sauce, it doesn't come with the prime rib but I happened to ask for it and it's a must have! Maybe best I've ever had. 2. Go for the full size pasta, its delish and worth the bigger fee, would also heat up well later for left overs! 3. They don't advertise that they have ginger ale on menu but they do :) 4. Try to save room for dessert, we didn't but saw a neighboring table did and regretted not ordering the cheesecake! 5. The kids mac and cheese is actually box mac and cheese (kids loved it) but don't order if you want something more. Thank you staff, chefs and management for making what was to be a simple night stay in valemount as we drive home an experience to remember!

Finally had the chance to visit this fine establishment. Absolutely stunning dining room and kept at nice temperature even on a very hot day. The menu hosts a great array of options, something for everyone including vegan and vegetarian friendly. For our mains we tried the seafood and smoked salmon pasta, and the prime rib. Absolutely delicious. Prime rib was perfectly cooked and came with great portions for sides including a slightly spicy, lightly cooked pepper that was so good. The seafood pasta had shrimp and scallops with the salmon, enough added to it so you had some in almost each bite, the ratio to pasta was absolutely perfect as was the flavor of sauce. We loved everything about our meal and our visit, including our sever Jenny who is a great delight and made the whole experience that much more enjoyable. Will be back!!! Edit: Had another amazing dinner before heading out of town. Included pictures of the Hunter Pork and the Brownie Explosion... so good!!

We decided to go to the Caribou Grill because they seemed to have the most child friendly options out of all the restaurants we searched up. The restaurant was quite busy upon our arrival but we were quickly seated. Our server was very prompt and provided some great suggestions. After ordering our meals, our drinks were dropped off along with some delicious cheese focaccia bread. Our meals arrived in a reasonable amount of time and our daughters enjoyed their chicken strips which weren't your normal frozen type. These chicken strips were nice and juicy and tasted like fresh, in-house made chicken strips.y wife and I ordered steaks which were fairly decent, but a little overcooked from what we requested. The peppercorn sauce that my wife ordered was forgotten, but quickly brought once we mentioned it. The stuffed potato was very tasty, as were the well seasoned mushrooms. We'll definitely return again the next time we're in Valemount.

I was really looking forward to eating here based on the reviews. Unfortunately I did not get the same experience as others have. My first interaction with the front staff was rude. I asked about sitting at a booth. She said they didn't have any available. I saw one being cleared and asked to sit at it when it was cleared. She told me it was for larger groups (it was a four person booth). I guess this is where I should mention there was two of us. She then proceeded to sit us at a four person table. Made obvious by the four chairs. The same front staff that seated me sat a group of four at the booth.

The waitress tending to the tables in that area then proceeded to walk around my table not offering water, drink order or explanation of anything. Two tables were then seated after us and were given water, bread sticks, orders taken and explanations. Needless to say I was not pleased when she finally came to offer water. Don't get me wrong, I understand you get busy but it was plainly clear something was up with the service staff and us. Upon getting our orders taken the waitress acted like it was a great inconvience to serve our table. When we did get a bread basket it was in a different basket then the rest of the patrons. It was metal, dried scum on it, with stale crumbs inside. When we did get our food it was warm. That was a plus at best. During our meal we watched other patrons get offered water tops and refills for drinks. Our glasses sat empty. Our waitress checked in on other tables asking about their dinners and if they needed anything. The fastest service we received was when we asked for the bill.

I gave this place a star for the food, which was pretty good. The front staff needs a refresher on customer service. At least the two service staff we had...

We ate here about 3 years ago and since we were staying in Valemount, and the BBQ place was closed we decided to go back to Caribou. The menu is similar with a few interesting additions.

We had the spinach salad, seafood chowder, Pork Tenderloin medallions and the small fettuccine with meat sauce. Desert was a banana, ice cream, chocolate brownie parfait. Including one glass of wine, total bill was 88 bucks, not counting tip. See a lot of comments about the prices being high, I don't think they are. I have often paid that for average chinese food for two and given what food prices have done this seems pretty reasonable to me. On top of that, the food was absolutely excellent, portions were more than adequate and great flavour.

Other good thing is there is a good selection of gluten free as well as vegan and and vegetarian.

Only small gaffes were a couple of service breaks, lid on the pepper shaker came off in my soup, checked the salt and it was loose too. Obviously forgot to tighten them when they refilled them. Took quite a while to get the replacement soup and took a long time to get a replacement pepper shaker so my partner could use it on her spinach salad. Had to ask for fresh knives and forks for the main course. Server was actually taking the appetizer utensils off the plates and trying to put them back on the table. Not a big fan of "keep the fork prince" Owner clearly needs to do some training on how to serve in what is styled to be a higher end restaurant. That said, I would still...
