Not sure why others are raving about this place. There's no signs showing what food, pastries and baked goods they offer, or a sign board with prices. Looked at me like I should have know what flavours the pastries were when I asked, and what food they offer. But! They have the foresight to print a hundred signs telling you what to do or not do. From what I remember, here's all the signs and paper print outs they have plastered everywhere on the premise:
As for their customer service, the owner lady needs to learn some. She kept barking at people "excuse me! Who's next!" Maybe they shouldn't be putting their pastry rack in the already cramped space where people are trying to line up to give you their money.
Now as for the food, also nothing to rave about. The sausage roll was ok, but the other pastries were not good at all. They ran out of the soup of the day and pasta at 1pm on a summer Saturday.

Sweet treats were available and left with Madelines (very tasty but perhaps a day or two old), a FANTASTIC “health” cookie (chewy, ginger pieces, raisins) and an apple strudel bar (looks and smells delicious but haven’t tried yet because Madeline and “health” cookie filled us up.
Looks like a popular place with locals, tourists and pipeline workers. Many eating in, having lunch. Has a tiny indoor space to eat, and slightly larger patio.
Staff were energetic, nice and friendly, smiling and dusted with flour just as one should be working in a bakery.
Recommend checking hours of operation before going. Seems to be stabilized being open 10 to 4 Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, but past experience have seen these change without notice.
Really glad to have given the new owners a chance. They seem to have settled into their groove since opening last year and are doing an outstanding job with...

We ended up in town unexpectedly as a result of a car accident, and had to wait for the train right across from the bakery. The owner heard that we were stuck in town and had walked all the way across town in the snow to come to the bakery while we were waiting, so she gave us muffins and sausage rolls free of charge which was a really nice gesture and definitely lifted our spirits! We got some amazing soup that was warm and homestyle, with two huge pieces of bakery bread, and even though it was about 3pm in the day, there was still a nice selection of baked goods and desserts. This was a lovely establishment that took us in and you could tell there was genuine care in the service. Definitely...
