If you are local to Valemount and have never been to Vale Coffee I highly recommend not going. The first time was free and then…that was it, I’ve gained 20lbs since they opened or at the very least maintained a consistent dad-bod (not a dad).
My first meat pie was March 14th, it’s been downhill ever since. If you’re not local to Valemount, then you should be ok to go try the coffee once without experiencing any serious withdrawal symptoms. If you do experience symptoms get the f@&k out of Valemount before trying the meat pie or you may end up letting the mountains move you. That town slogan is just referring to the mountains of mince meat, puff pastry, and cheese they go through just to feed the less fortunate who have no will power and consume these pies everyday Vale Coffee is open. No one in valemount really cares about the mountains, they are too busy stuffing their faces with these meat pies to notice. Even if they did notice, the butter to make that pastry has brought their arteries to the same flow rate as the waterpik your dentist recommended you bought and then tossed a year later, they wouldn’t make it half way up without booking an angioplasty...
Read moreHad this coffee at the Summit restaurant at the top of Jasper sky tram and was so intrigued by its flavours that I decided to give the original manufacturing facility a visit in Valemount on the way back to Vancouver. Vale coffee is located just a turn away from the main highway that connects Jasper to Kamloops/Vancouver. I’d say it’s a must visit especially since there are a very few places in BC where the Baristas have a complete knowledge of what they are selling and would suggest you something on the basis of you taste buds. They really know what they are doing. I wanted a dark but sweet flavour and the barista suggested the Guatemala blend. The flavour hits the perfect spots . Would recommend this place to all those who know what exactly they want from their coffee. If you go on a non busy day, the barista would even help with tasting all the varieties that they have. Please support local establishments like this that promote some really old traditions (the one I got has a tradition of making coffee since 1986). Putting in a late review, apologies...

THE LADY ASKED ME WHAT I WAS UP TO TODAY, THAT WAS A REALLY NICE THING, NO ONE EVER ASKS ME. I SAID JUST TRAVELLING, BORING, RESPONSE, BUT I AM GLAD SHE ASKED. I DIN'T KNOW IT WAS A 5 STAR PLACE. I WILL STOP HERE AGAIN. I GOT A NICE VIBE. IT WAS NOT TOO EXPENSIVE. IF PEOPLE KNOW THEY WILL STOP HERE NOT TIMS WHICH IS NASTY UNLESS YOU LIKE IT. SOMETIMES YOU GOTTA TRY NEW PLACES. THIS TOWN IS A FUNNY TOWN LOTS OF TRAIN WORKERS AND PIPELINE WORKERS. I WISH THE TOWN WOULD REBRAND TO BE A...
