I recently visited Glacier Fire Pizzeria in Valemount and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed! The food was outstanding and the service was exceptional. Courtney, our server, was excellent and went above and beyond to ensure our experience was enjoyable.
One thing that stood out to me was the great selection of beer they have on tap. It was refreshing to see a pizzeria with such a variety of craft beers to choose from.
The atmosphere was fun and exciting, with great music and sports on TV. The owners were fantastic people and it was evident that they take pride in their establishment. They frequently add new and delicious things to their menu, which keeps things exciting and fresh.
The slushy machine and floats were a nice touch and added to the fun atmosphere. Lastly, the location couldn't be more perfect as it is centrally located in the heart of Valemount.
Overall, I highly recommend Glacier Fire Pizzeria for anyone looking for great food, excellent service, and a fun atmosphere. Five...
Read moreNot busy when we arrived and ordered right away. Ordered the Kona pizza and a kids cheese pizza. Waited around 45 minutes for the pizzas to arrive. For thin crust pizzas that are put in a wood fired oven this is a long amount of time to wait. Yes I get it, they are hand stretched by the staff etc etc. They only need 90 or so seconds in the oven. Having waited that length of time we were really hoping for some amazing pizza. That was not the case. The chicken on the kona pizza was not seasoned. The tomato sauce for the pizza was completely bland and had no seasoning. The pizza crust needed abit more time in the oven as it had no crunch. We weren't given any side plates or napkins so we had to wave one of the waitresses down. Unfortunate outcome for dining as they did have alot of staff for a smaller place. We weren't the only diners that were not impressed as I overheard a lady from another table ask the waitress where their second pizza was as they only brought out the first...
Read moreWe were really looking forward to trying this place after a big day of biking, but unfortunately our experience was disappointing. The biggest issue was the wait — it took over an hour for our food to come out. From what I’ve since read, this seems to be common when the restaurant is busy. I think it would go a long way if servers were upfront about wait times when customers order, so expectations are managed. It also would have helped if the salad came out first rather than alongside the pizza.
The food itself was just okay, but the long wait made it less enjoyable. My beer was also flat and not as cold as I’d hoped. Our server was kind, but seemed inexperienced and unsure how to address delays or customer frustrations.
I’m sharing this feedback in the hope it helps the restaurant improve, because the setting is great and the staff are friendly — they just need better systems in place for...
