I went there with my friend because another friend of mine had told me how good this place is, so we decided to give it a try. I had a veggie sandwich with a side of yam fries, these ones were delicious with the sauce the gave me, I just loved them, however, I can not say the same about the sandwich. It was tasty for sure, not salty and the veggies (orange pepper and zucchini) were well cooked but there was something missing, I don't know, it might've been maybe that it was not big enough or too toast. Just it can improve a little for me to say this is a great delicious meal. But the yam fries were amazing for sure, well cooked, a big portion, not salty, that chipotle dressing they give is sooooo tasty that I wanted to ask for more. And my friend had the veggie plate. Since she doesn't eat a lot of meat we thought this would be a good option for her. However, we thought the plate was a little too small for the price and with no chicken or anything else besides the veggies. They were well cooked and with a very nice flavoured but again, something can improve in this meal, maybe just add some pieces of chicken, ham, nuts or something similar. The service was very good, fast, professional, and, even though the place is kind of dark, there's a lot of light coming though the windows, with a lot of ambience and decorations. It is actually a great place to have a coffee or drinks and hang out with friends, but I would say not the perfect fit for a family. I will give this place 5 stars because we felt comfortable with the service, maybe next time we can try other meals instead and give a different review.

This place is a great place to grab a bite. Came here before 12pm for brunch. Not a busy when we arrived so got table immediately but got busy over the course of our meal. Ordered the steak and eggs and the steak was awesome for a place that is not a steak house. Asked for medium and that's what I got. It's flame-broiled so you're going to get chat for those sensitive to eating carcinogens. It pained me to cut all that off, but my companion would not have let me eat peacefully otherwise. The edges were eggs and you get a nice fruit bowl and toast (multigrain, sourdough, or rye) on the side. There was a good selection of Benedict on the menu. The crab and shrimp was chosen this time. Decent but I'm looking forward to trying the smoked salmon next time. The seasoned hash browns included with our dishes were tasty and reasonably crunchy. Our server was delightful in taking our order, coming back for coffee and checking if we needed other stuff. Parking is street parking. On Main is mostly metered parking but residential parking is plentiful enough. Today, being Sunday, has a few more free spots as some traffic signs affecting parking are not in effect today (parking in a Mon-Sat loading zone). Will definitely come back to try other dishes.

Contrary to what you might think, Chaise on Main isn’t a furniture store where you can find an assortment of lounge chairs… it’s actually an eatery in the Riley Park area of Vancouver with a gastropub concept. It does have a bit of a bar vibe going on… complete with a waitress that’s a bit on the gruff side. We showed up early on Good Friday and decided to do a mix of brunch and bar food. First up was the Honey Garlic Chicken Wings ($14). They have a variety of wing flavours to choose from but these turned out pretty good… not overly sweet with a nice light crispness to the exterior. The Seafood Benedict ($14) comes with crab and shrimp and is served on a toasted English muffin with wonderfully made hash brown potatoes and a small bowl of fruit. I like that they ask how you want your poached eggs – I asked for soft poached and the yolks were perfectly runny. Honestly, the food was pretty good here but, as I said earlier, the service was a bit meh… nothing overly bad but just little things that rang out in my head (ie. the way the waitress casually tossed the coasters on the table, the tone of her voice which sounded like she was just going through the motions, etc…).

This evening (22nd June) we came to Chaise to celebrate my partner's birthday. We ordered clams, ceviche and halibut - which were all delicious.

But... the service. (and this isn't the first bad review you guys have had about this so maybe you should listen up)

Our server seemed rather curt with us when we were being seated - we thought we were meant to follow her but realized partway there that we were in her way. We sympathized about the extra work she must do while we are still working our way out of this pandemic.

Having been a server we know how hard this job can be. The added strain on servers to do extra cleaning to fewer and more widely spaced tables... all while wearing a mask and making less money then the before times. We feel for the service industry and we are so grateful for the work they do that we now routinely tip 25% for table service.

Not today.

After waiting more then ten minutes to pay our bill after we asked for the check we walked up to the front. She was standing and chatting - but then told us there was only one payment machine. We extended even more sympathy to her - that it was another strain on her time. Realizing this is coming to an end - British Columbians are a fairly pro-vaccine crowd - we asked if she'd had both her shots yet.

When she said "no" we asked:

"Just the first one then?"

That's when she dropped the bomb and said she hadn't had even one shot. We asked her why and she said something like she just didn't feel like it was necessary - that she didn't need it.

That was it. We were done feeling empathy for this woman. She clearly does not want to be doing this job and on top of it was an anti-vaxxer. We're HORRIFIED that someone serving food is not required by the Province to be vaccinated, and was immediately disgusted to think we'd eaten food served by an unvaccinated front-line worker.

We couldn't bring ourselves to not tip - but there was no way we were tipping her 25%.

We just checked the bill - we tipped "Victoria" the scant 15% required for us to feel like decent human beings - but she did not deserve it and we feel terrible even saying that, but she didn't.

The other server on that night was lovely - bubbly and pleasant. We'd have...

I normally don't post reviews, but after the experience that I had at Chaise Lounge yesterday I feel compelled. We are frequent patrons of Chaise Lounge. We regularly pick up as well as eat in with friends and family and have recommended Chaise to others. This year alone we have been at least 5 times and probably 15 times over the years. Yesterday for Father's Day, I requested from my family that we bring in from Chaise. I called at 6:32 to place our order of 2 chicken burgers and a hot corned beef sandwich. I was told that it would take about 15 minutes. I arrived at the restaurant at about 6:50 knowing that I would probably have to wait a few minutes. I was given my bill at 6:55 (it was on the bill) and told that it would be ready soon. 10 minutes later I asked it my order was ready yet and was told that there was a problem in the kitchen and would be about another 10 minutes but probably closer to 5 minutes. At 7:15 I asked about my order again and told that it would be ready soon and sorry for the delay. At this point it was at least 40 minutes since my order was placed. Seeing that I was quite frustrated, I was offered a beer (I'm driving - no thank you) and told that another customer had to wait 22 minutes for his order. Was this supposed to make me feel better? Finally at 7:25 (45 minutes after my order was taken) my food arrived. Enquiring about a discount due to the time I waited, I was rudely told that our food was made as requested and I was offered a beer earlier (at no time was I told that the beer was on the house due to the time I was waiting - and no thought that this was a take out order and I was driving). I was furious! With my own 40+ years of customer service, this is not how you deal with a bad situation that was completely out of my hands. In the end our food was passable. My wife's chicken was dry and my fries were over cooked. I hope that Chaise will do a better job with their customer service when issues arise in the future, but they have lost me as a customer and will not be recommending Chaise in the...

I have been coming to Chaise for the past 14 yrs. My experience last night at Chaise confirmed that do not wish to continue to support Chaise moving forward.

I stopped by on a weeknight in a group of two. The place was about 1/4 full. We opted for a burger with salad and a plate of wings. The wings came out fairly quick and they were good. That was the positives on this experience.

Then the burger and salad came out. The salad was ok. I cut the burger in half and took a bite. The burger was raw and left blood stains on my plate. I brought this to the attention of the waitress and she said would take care of it. She returned a few minutes later with the same burger cut in the two halves, one with the bite mark. She said nothing and placed it in front of me. It appeared the cook put it under and warming rack as the outside was cooked but biting in again, it was clearly not cooked. I called the waitress over again and brought this to her attention showing her the red colour inside the burger. It was clearly undercooked which was confirmed by my friend. The waitress said it was probably the lighting but would return with another burger. She returned with a burger ten minutes later telling me that she thought the previous burger was cooked. Wow. This new burger was clearly microwaved as it was still steaming, no grill or char marks and tasted like rubber. I managed to swallow two bites.

Chaise charged me the full price for the microwaved burger.

This has been one of the worst service experience and worst food I have eaten in the past 15 yrs.

It was a very negative food experience and I can not...
