Chicken Box — Restaurant in Vancouver

I have been here twice now since the soft launch and it was consistently awesome! Also excellent service to boot. As such, I highly recommend! ✨

The chicken is both high-quality and well-priced! We ordered the chicken burger, the soy garlic boneless (M), and fries.

The burger comes with a huge piece of juicy chicken and a purple cabbage coleslaw instead of lettuce which adds such a rich flavour to the burger!

The order of medium soy garlic boneless chicken is a healthy portion and I find that I can get two meals out of it. The chicken is perfectly coated (not too much sauce) and retains its crunchiness. Excellent flavour and they add these delicious garlic chips on top!

The fries are my favourite kind…crunchy on the outside and super potatoe-y on the inside! The best comparison would be the Costco French fry…which is pbb my favourite. 😅😅

Although I didn’t dine in, when I went to pick up my food and waited for my order, I sat in a booth. the banquette seats are quite comfortable and I also noticed they do beer on tap. It was really clean and had great lighting and atmosphere, so I may consider dining in sometime in the future!

I've been a regular customer here several times and have always enjoyed the food. Today, however, I had a disappointing experience with the service. After ordering food to go, my family and I returned about an hour later because my two young sisters (ages 6 and 8) needed to use the restroom. Despite carrying our "Chicken Box" takeout bag from the restaurant and clearly being recent customers, three different employees approached us to question whether we had actually ordered food.

While I understand the "no public restrooms" policy, it felt unnecessary and frankly embarrassing to be interrogated when we were obviously customers with our purchase in hand. A more tactful approach from the staff would have been appreciated, especially when traveling with small children who needed the facilities - especially considering the restaurant was COMPLETELY EMPTY.

Unfortunately, this experience has left a bad impression and I won't be returning. There are better options nearby that treat their customers with...

Some of the best Korean fried chicken you will taste in Vancouver. I highly recommend the Soy Garlic, and Sweet & Spicy boneless chicken.

If you dine-in, they have a chicken taster where you can pick three different flavours. Each flavour choice will give you three pieces of appropriately sized chicken bits. The deep fried coating, flavouring sauce/topping, and oils are pure magic that left me dancing in my seat.

If you have room after the chicken - definitely try the waffels. Their waffles are chewy and sweet, especially if you drench them in maple syrup! They're more like a croissant-waffle than a Western-style Belgian waffle.

Chicken Box's tteokbokki is also exceptional and spicy hot (but not sweat-your-face off spicy). Their tteokbokki also comes with thin fish cake along with the tteokmyeon which was a nice treat. They give you so much sauce that I started dipping my chicken in the tteokbokki sauce to combine flavours which was a game changer!
