Bloedel Conservatory: A Beautiful Reopening! We were delighted to visit Bloedel Conservatory today for its grand reopening. The updates are fantastic! The improved walkway makes navigating the facility much easier for visitors. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The birds seemed to be enjoying the renewed attention, and the entire conservatory is a feast for the eyes. The vibrant trees, lush shrubs, and colorful flowers create a stunning atmosphere. The koi pond was a big hit with the kids, who were mesmerized by the colorful fish. We're so glad the conservatory has reopened. It's a truly special place and an inexpensive treat in the heart of Vancouver. Highly recommended! Highlights: Improved accessibility: Updated walkway makes it easier to get around. Beautiful flora and fauna: Stunning plants, vibrant flowers, and happy birds. Kid-friendly: The koi pond was a big hit with the children. Affordable: A great value for a unique experience. Overall: A fantastic experience! We highly recommend visiting the reopened Bloedel Conservatory.

This place was amazing - we didn’t originally intend to go here as we were downtown for a different reason, but I’m so happy we went! I’m a huge plant fan, and it was fun pointing at the plants I knew and learning about plants I didn’t. They have a pretty impressive number of carnivorous plants too! I think the part I enjoyed best however was the birds - there are SO many beautiful ones there, and many of them liked whistling short melodies back and forth with us. It was nice to see them be able to fly off and hide (if they wanted), but most chose to perch on their stands and greet guests. We booked a ticket in advance, which didn’t actually make a ton of difference - you still needed to wait in line with those who didn’t. One thing I would have loved to have seen (and would be a great business choice) is if the conservatory chose to sell plants! I saw so many I wanted to look into buying for my garden but was surprised at the end of the tour that they only sold small toys and souvenirs! Pictured is my beautiful mom :)

Was a smaller places than I expected and the birds were so far from the watching areas. But still worth to visit if you have siblings or child who’s your than 12 they can entertain very well.(like my sister did) the exotic birds, parrots most likely, were named and had a info thing in front of their places. (Idk what it’s called)You can see their name, where are they from and how old are they from those info cards. However I felt like they were not that happy to be there, they didn’t care about people etc. there were also so many mices but all are really small and a bit cute ones. Even though I normally scare them, I didn’t scared by those tiny little ones. They’re probably there as a part of the exotic warm climate of the conservatory and I don’t think if it’s possible to remove them, since other animals can easily get affected by any poison, trap or something like that. we got our ticket at admission and there was no line when I visited( it was a weekday)

The Bloedel Conservatory, a charming domed botanical garden nestled in Queen Elizabeth Park, offers a perfect escape from Vancouver's winter weather. During our January visit, when the outside temperature was a chilly 40 degrees, the climate-controlled environment provided a welcome respite. Named after lumberman Prentice Bloedel, who contributed $1.4 million to its development in 1969, this conservatory houses an impressive collection of tropical plants and birds. The space features a peaceful waterfall and koi fish, creating a serene atmosphere. While compact in size, the facility is well-maintained, and the staff are notably friendly. Our visit lasted about an hour, which was plenty of time to take in all the sights. At just $16 USD per person, the admission price offers excellent value. Despite its modest size, the Bloedel Conservatory delivers a delightful experience that's well worth visiting.
