Chicken World — Restaurant in Vancouver

We’ve always heard about 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐧 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝’𝐬 legendary fried chicken, so we were thrilled to attend this Yelp Elite event and finally try their famous burgers!

We started with the 𝑮𝒂𝒃𝒃𝒂𝒓 𝑩𝒖𝒓𝒈𝒆𝒓 (𝒅𝒐𝒖𝒃𝒍𝒆 𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒄𝒌𝒆𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒈𝒉) combo—because we could not resist their iconic fried chicken. The 𝒅𝒐𝒖𝒃𝒍𝒆 𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒄𝒌𝒆𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒈𝒉 𝑩𝒖𝒓𝒈𝒆𝒓 was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and absolutely packed with flavour. The portion was generous, though we couldn’t resist ordering a 𝑩𝒆𝒘𝒂𝒇𝒂 𝑩𝒖𝒓𝒈𝒆𝒓 after spotting it at the table beside us!

We upgraded the combo, swapping the regular fries for Peri Peri fries and the soda for their Mango Fruit Drink. The mango drink was refreshing, and the fries had a nice kick, though the seasoning was a bit salty towards the bottom. Something to note for next time!

The 𝑩𝒆𝒘𝒂𝒇𝒂 𝑩𝒖𝒓𝒈𝒆𝒓 (𝒅𝒐𝒖𝒃𝒍𝒆 𝒑𝒂𝒕𝒕𝒚) was saucy and delicious but definitely a bit messy— perfect for big flavour lovers! Pro tip: have napkins handy. 🧻

Overall, we enjoyed exploring their menu and soaking in the great vibes. We can’t wait to come back another time for their weekday special!

I have eaten here and gotten take out from here MANY times and have always been very happy until tonight. I ordered the 5 piece box of spicy chicken, masala fries and coleslaw. The flavor was great but the portion size was abysmal!!! I was given two pieces of what I thought were breasts that turned out to be tiny thighs with an extraordinary amount of coating (fooled me to thinking it was a breast). I received 4 legs and yes I understand I was given an extra leg but if I wanted Cornish game hen legs I would have gone somewhere else. I usually am full on two legs, some fries and coleslaw. Today I ate 3 legs, 1/2 thigh (once I stripped off the coating to find out it wasn't a breast) , the whole order of fries (usually only eat 1/2) and 1/2 the coleslaw. I have always been happy with Chicken World; great food, generous portions and I love what they stand for (giving food to needy people on Fridays) If these chicken legs are the new size, I will be looking for a new chicken "world" to eat at. I have never been so disappointed in this place as I was today. I may give it one more chance to see if this was a one off and if it isn't then I will definitely look elsewhere. So sad, very...

Burger on the brain and eyes on the fries

@chickenworldcanada recently opened their new location on Denman St. All their chicken are made fresh to order and they use unique blend of spices!

I had a chance to try the new and limited time, Shona Bun Kebab. This is a very popular street food burger in Pakistan and it’s made with a patty of beef and lentils, topped with a fried egg and dressed with tangy mint chutney and fresh red onions. The combo of South Asian flavours and chutney soaked buns created a very different experience than your regular burger. It’s comforting food but not heavy.

I really enjoyed the spicy Peri Peri chicken, it’s full of explosive flavours and spices. The chicken was very tender and fresh. I would also recommend their masala and peri peri fries, so addicting! Another standout was the spicy Nashville Billo burger with a juicy fried chicken breast between soft toasted buns.

The service was very friendly and it was more than expected from a fast food spot. Everyone was very helpful with explaining the menu. Thank you for the delicious invite @chickenworldcanada We will be back...
