European Breads Bakery — Restaurant in Vancouver

This is not an eat in restaurant. The only visible worker seemed to be busy in the back which is not necessarily her fault as it appeared she was all alone working that day. There was a very small selection of pastries. Take note that the cabbage rolls everyone is raving about are not available for eating in, only frozen to go. We were very disappointed as we planned our day around having cabbage rolls and borscht for lunch there. The owners need to update the listing and offerings. Good selection of bread, fresh baked in house - you'll some of their breads sold in the larger retail grocery stores, I prefer to buy directly from the source. Nice baked goodies but I love the perogies, I actually don't know where to get fresh homemade perogies except maybe Granville Island and for sure they'd be expensive. Store has been here for years despite the ever changing demographics of the area, I believe this is a family owned business too. Try them next time you are around Fraser and 27/28th Avenue. Disappointed with service. I asked what breads were available. The guy pointed to the board, but when I started asking for one bread after another, he said not available, not available, and not available. Finally, the one that was available, he couldn't slice because it was too fresh. He said he could only slice next day, which is strange because I know other bakeries slice bread after a couple or a few hours.
