Outstanding service, Outstanding Great Quality people who work at each location. Every location offers quality products from Poland and European flavours. Most importantly the selection of amazing quality, most flavourful, perfectly smoked meats is the real draw for myself. After living in the lower mainland for nearly 10 years and relocating from a strong European influence prairie province of SK I was delighted to finally find this group of stores that are hidden gem. Polina Meats produce Outstanding quality meat products. These locations are located on well known streets with easy access. Our Greater Vancouver area is a melting pot of ethnicities, we are diverse and all beautiful individuals mostly relocated from our ancestral roots from around the world. We are Blessed to live in a community with so much diversity, blended cultures & fantastic selection.
IMO - The fresh baked products to a variety of items that are very European are simply the Best one can find only at true ethnic cultural locations that place their love and knowledge into the products they create or import for our benefit of our native lands (country) traditions and flavours.
I personally encourage everyone to shop local and also support ethical arts and traditional cultures that deliver to our...
Read moreWorst customer service ever.
I can't even describe how rude the the customer service rep was - old lady with short curly hair about 60 yo.
I went in to buy two sausages there. I was the only customer in the shop. The lady saw me walking in but kept talking on the phone with a friend (it was definitely not a work related phone call). I didn't mind waiting a bit, as I wasn't in a rush.
She took 5 minutes to wrap up her phone call and looked at me. I said "Hi" and smiled. She ignored the greeting and kept looking at me with a facial expression of "What do you want"?
I've asked here whether the sausages I was interested in were made of pork.
"Everything is made of pork here" she responded. "Could I have two please", I said and gave her a $10 bill. (the price of two sausages would be $3.50)
She threw the money back at me saying: "I have no change". I told her that I don't have any other $ bills and she replied with "Ok, give me 50 cents".
I started searching for the coins in my bag and heard her saying: "OH MY GOD" and looked at me like I was homeless or something begging her to give me food for free.
Seriously?! I just took the $10 and left.
Lady - if you are ready this, can I ask you one question? If you hate humans so much, why do you even work in...
Read moreWow ... seemingly authentic products at fair prices but the absolute worst customer service I have experienced in Vancouver. I visited the store this morning and waited patiently for about 10 minutes while the single server, an older Polish woman with blond hair, served two customers in front of me. Both customers received bonus packages of sausages after their purchases. My turn and the drama began, all made particularly outlandish given we were wearing masks - but the eyes tell all. As I made my orders the woman's hostility became manifest with curt answers to my questions and increasingly passive aggressive body language .... culminating at my payment, with my first receipt stuffed unceremoniously into the bag and the second flung onto the counter with not even a "Thank you" - nor of course a bonus sausage :( , even though I had spent more than the previous customer. Beyond rude .. verging into a comical Monty Python sketch but truly sad that an otherwise reputable business could be jeopardized by an employee with such a blatantly disrespectful attitude to paying customers. Finally, please 'owner' no need to reply as I see from previous eerily similar Google reviews that your 'apologies' have not resulted in positive...
