I sought this place out because I was in Maui and I discovered Wow Wow lemonade, I wanted to find something similar I could enjoy in Vancouver. I am not going to say that the products aren't delicious because they are, it's not really possible for organic fruits and vegetables not to be. Although I do have a couple things I feel could definitely be worked on to make this a 5 star go every day type of place. First of all there is no fresh fruit, it is all frozen. Fresh is better than frozen and that is a fact. I asked for fresh fruit on top of my blended Acai bowl like any other Acai bowl I have ever had has had and I was told they have no fresh fruit in the building besides bananas. This was a huge disappointment knowing my smoothies are not even being made fresh considering they are SO EXPENSIVE. Second of all they have created a delicious gluten free granola, which is very good but it seems it is being used as the focal point for the the acai bowls. I do not doubt this granola is loaded with sugar and is not super healthy, taking away from the reason you eat organic fresh products in the first place, for the health benefits. I am not saying I would not enjoy a little bit of this granola sprinkled on top of my acai bowl as a sweet topping but it is literally half and half sometimes even more. I have had times where it has been 1/4 smoothy and the remainder this sugary topping. This brings me to my third issue with Glory Juice and probably my biggest... There is a HUGE lack on consistency with their products. I have gone 5 times now because I really wanted to give it a chance it being very close to my place of work. Every single time I have ordered the same things. Every single time they have come a little different. One day my avocado toast is smothered with avocado loaded with toppings the next there is barley anything on it. One day my acai bowl is all granola (which is not what I am looking for at all when ordering FRUIT BOWL) the next it is all smoothy, not to mention the consistency like the measurement of product they are using is not the same every time or they aren't blending all products for the same amount of time. One day my bowl is rock hard ice slush the next time its super diluted and runny. IF there is one thing you look for in any type of business its consistency and going back to Glory Juice every time and not knowing what my product is going to be like is super unappealing. Customer service has been subpar every time I have visited. 5.There are no sizing options, it is one size for one price and the prices are outrageous, tighten up the ship related to all these aspects and then maybe charge what you are charging because those are the things people are paying for. After going back today and spending $19.00 on a Acai bowl and piece of toast and it being so disappointing I will not be back to Glory Juice. I think they have great idea on fresh organic product but they are lacking in way too many areas for me to continue to support them with my business. I will be driving to Main Streets...
Read moreSo many changes to Glory Juice, none for the better unfortunately. It feels like Glory Juice is cutting corners to likely cut costs. The juice and mylk that i purchased lack the flavour intensity that they used to, making me wonder whether they are now more watered down. Also, Everything now comes in a plastic container instead of sustainable materials, which cheapens the aesthetic and definitely impacts their environment footprint. Menu changes have meant that the warm savoury bowls are all gone, replaced by salads - booooo. (If I wanted a salad in a plastic container, I would go to Starbucks across the street.) Lastly, the falafel wrap I ordered was borderline inedible. Seriously not good. All of these faults would be more forgivable if they had reduced their prices since the ownership changes, but it is still very very expensive, now criminally so. (For example, the avocado toast used to be served on delicious, house-made flat bread; now it is sold for the same price on regular bread.) Sadly, after being a customer for nearly a decade, I really don’t think I will be back. Bummer. Was one of my favourite healthy lunch spots in the city. PS - service was good which is the only reason they did not get a...
Read moreI came here today as it was recommended from someone. I am pregnant and I was quite hungry! When I went in there was no one else there and I ordered a bowl with lentils. The girl who took my order made no eye contact or any connection of any kind and informed me there is no soup left. I asked if I could substitute it with something, she left and came back and said nothing. I asked her again and she said "we found a little" great. I sat and waited for 25 minutes as people entered and everyone promptly got their order. I asked about it at the counter and she said no one processed my order and she will make it, no apology or acknowledgment. I had to take it to go at this point, I got to my car and saw she put quinoa and not lentils...had to go back and told me there were no lentils left...I asked why I wasn't told when I made the order. The girls just looked at each other with no acknowledgement or any kind of polite service. I asked for a refund and she said sure. Great. Left hungry and a complete waste of time will...
