Main St Hostel — Hotel in Vancouver

We expected the worst and were surprised! When we booked the hostel and saw the reviews, we were scared. But when we arrived, the owner was nice and helpful, he did his best to keep everything clean and was always very friendly. Yes, the place is a bit dirty in some places. But it seemed like the owner did all by himself, don‘t expect a sterile place. Yes, you might see some sketchy people in the area, but we never had problems with any of them, even though we very much looked like tourists. The only advantages this place has are the location and the price. Considering the price, the hostel is well located near the Pacific Central Station and the metro station to the airport and the downtown. You have to climb a narrow stairs to get to the lobby and your room so don't bring a luggage that's too heavy. The place overall is dirty and has smells that I can't describe.
