What a surprise of Le Fabrique! This beautiful and rustic winery invites you to stay longer, even if you are not a wine drinker like me. These are my pros and cons about this place.
Wine: Of course, they have many options. I am not an expert, but I could see many customers refilling their glasses and having a good time. So, if you like the combination wine+food+music+friends, this could be your next gathering.
Food: They have a small menu (6 options), and you have to order at the front bar. I love seafood, so I ordered Sardines & Pesto. It came with grilled fife sourdough, OMGI hope I had more stomach to try more, but definitely !!! I want to come back to try the Grill Chorizo. It seems good as well. Also, they have a fridge with some food for āhelp yourself.ā You can grab your food and use their cutlery, plates and napkins with no charges. Now, in that case, if you prefer a crepe instead, you can order from outside the winery. I donĀ“t really know if itās a kind of partnership with them, but you can buy and try.
Customer service: It“s ok; the staff looks nice, and the environment is friendly, so go prepared to tip them!
Ambient: The place deserves a special note for the ambiance. ItĀ“s rustic, with picnic tables, the chairs donĀ“t match, but they are harmonious with each other. The first space (where you order the food), itās a spoiler about what you are going through. The big bar inside has comfortable tall benches, and everyone can sit and enjoy the performance or have a good conversation. The light is perfect, not too bright, not too dark. The acoustic is good, and you can listen to the musicians perfectly.
Music: They host musicians who play several rhythms. Check them out on their website and enjoy them as much as I did. Back that day, my friends @sara_magal, @stevenjcharles they played with @jodi_proznick
Parking: There is parking around, it“s not difficult to find a spot, and the price is acceptable. We paid $2 for 2 hours
Thank you for reading it, and I hope it is helpful! Enjoy what...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI want to start this review with the fact that I really want to love this place, and I think Vancouver needs more of these kinds of unique venues. That being said, I simply can't get on board with the absolute ridiculous pricing, and the mediocre quality of the wine.
It's been said in other reviews but it is shocking to me that they are getting away with a 5oz pour for anywhere from $11-$14. To put that into context it would mean a 9oz glass of Syrah would be $27!! Now I'm not against spending a lot for good quality wine, but it's nothing special and you can get a good quality bottle of BC Syrah for nearly the same price point.
I also love the concept of the build it yourself snack board, but without putting prices on anything you're setting up customers to spend a ridiculous amount without realizing it until they're at the till.
The best thing here is the space and the amazing pianist, but I simply can't justify coming back when I can recreate the experience for less elsewhere or...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI never leave reviews, specially negative ones, but I felt compelled to leave this one here. We went last saturday, the music was too loud to be able to make a conversation with anyone, the charcuterie was overpriced and not the best we had, wine was ok.
One of the waiters told my husband they already include 18% on the food, and they still ask for tips when you pay, which was ridiculous since we had to bring the plates, cutting board, cutlery to the table and cut the charcuterie ourselves. No, they don't cut for you cause it's part of the "experience".
After we started opening the cheeses, prosciutto and salami there were enough litter on the table to run out of space and annoy us. It was not worth it paying...
