Maxim's Bakery Victoria Drive — Restaurant in Vancouver

Ordered a black forest cake, but was not given one. It was a regular chocolate cake. (Overly dry). Family member called the bakery to ask the following day - and staff member there instead of owning up to the error, they proclaimed that there were two types of black forest cake that supposedly the customer was supposed to state, otherwise its just plain chocolate. Very disappointing. Issue with the staff member who took the order to put in the order item; or that did not indicate to the customer to clarify the type (if you truly have two types, but that would be erroneous as black forest has cherry in it). Second issue (not sure if same) on the staff with poor customer service who took the follow up call. So shocked, to go all the way to chaotic mall, in the chaotic street hoping for the same past experience but shocked on...

I remember when there was a time that maxims was at the top of their game. After getting a couple of their bbq pork buns to share, I noticed the stuffing has gotten considerably less and less over time, and also the inconsistencies of the outer layer of the honey bun being golden brown to pale looking...even the bbq pork stuffing had lost some wow factor.

Yes it's affordable, not knocking it. Alot of people on budget come here. However, there's so much competition now with the same prices with higher quality. Nonetheless they do have many other items that...

Spent about $90 worth of pastries and cake. We asked for ONE extra box because we wanted to separate some as a gift and not only did they gave us a small box, they charged us for the box......................... wow.

I was going to say something, but you know what, if your going to charge a customer who is spending $90 and i dont care how little you are charging us, some customer service you got there. Well, keep doing a great business there cause you just lost one big customer who likes to spend $100 worth of pastries every month. Never going to shop...
