Ordered the Spaghetti + Meatsauce with 4 extra meatballs and garlic cheese bread on UberEats

Was prepared fairly quickly, it was the driver who took forever.

Pasta arrived still piping hot packed in foil.

The garlic cheese bread is long, wide, and thinly sliced - with garlic butter toasted below a GENEROUS layer of shredded mozzarella. With a little marinara, it couldve been a slice of toasted hero bread pizza.

The spaghetti was also covered in a thick layer of the mozzarella, which was bubbled all over from the oven holding the heat in. The spaghetti noodles itself were very basic/nothing special, and the meat sauce was tasty but very oily like a few others pointed out (I blame the melting cheese). What made the meal though were the meatballs.

I'm giving the meatballs their own paragraph. I had very, very low expectations for these ordering at 10pm at night. I was so wrong. These were exceptional meatballs. Very tender, hints of spicy italian sausage and what i am assume was lamb, but i genuinely do not know what they use. I would be SHOCKED if these are frozen meatballs.

That's the review. 4 stars for a hearty meal that filled me up with...

I've had two experiences here which were quite undesirable. First was a pizza by the slice date with a friend, the pizza was awful.. sorry, but this shouldn't be a pizza place if that is what is served. I've never had a cold, dry, chewy "pizza" with absolutely no flavour. It was horrid, no one would want this in their mouth. Secondly, I was on another date with a friend - we purchased a Subway sandwich and a coffee from Trees across the street. Our plan was to sit outside on a crisp fall day and finish up by grabbing some gelato from them. There were three tables on the sidewalk and only one being used. You would think they would want their business to appear as if people go there and are enjoying themselves but we were accosted for loitering from a rude fellow inside the establishment and shooed away like naughty children even when I explained what we were doing and our plan to purchase gelato afterwards. So if I could, I would rate this place a zero, which is unfortunate because I support this neighbourhood 100%... this establishment clearly doesn't...

I have revisited the review I originally wrote several months ago below (but changed my ranking from 5 to 4 stars) as my second experience here was quite different. My first pizza was great, but my second a couple of months later was pretty average. Tasted like your typical cheap takeout/didn't seem worth the price. I also was a bit concerned by the guy at the till taking his mask off on the phone in my presence, which I perceived as a bit of a covid risk. After my 2nd experience, I am wondering if there are 2 chefs...the pizzas did seem quite different! (Would explain the polarizing reviews).

My original review "I too am surprised by the negative reviews for this place, as I had a great experience ordering online, and the pizza was delicious. Sure, this may not be a super authentic Neapolitan pizza place, but for takeout I would highly recommend - I thought the quality was excellent and great value, and the lady who served me at pick up was friendly and efficient. Definitely going to make this my local pizza place...
