It's a simple park nice to walk your dog and spend some relaxing time with the kids (if you have them) in a fairly quiet neighbourhood. Not much to do otherwise since is just a lot with grass and a playground BUT, if you live nearby, that is an excellent place to go and play when it snows 😊 (see attached picture). Although I have to admit, the park is pretty since is surrounded by trees and it has some benches.

Awesome place for walking and enjoying yourself Unique scenery Both sunny or rainy days you will experience nice times there In Christmas time lighting is really beautiful It is one of the places that I miss going there Many cafes and restaurants are available there There is also Granville market which has fresh products . There is also a very good brewery there.

There are a couple benches but mostly a field of grass next to tennis courts. Lots of dogs and people tend to sit on the grass to socialize as well on the benches. The benches seem more for those who smoke and no one complains. The other portion has a playground and another field of grass. I've almost never seen that portion empty over the years.

Granville Park consists of two spaces separated by Pine Street. On the west side, steps lead into a sunken, grassed court lined with cedar and hornbeam, while the east portion of the park includes tennis courts and shaded seating areas. Both spaces are inviting for a game of soccer or a quiet stroll.

On November 11, 1914, the Park Board officially named this park in honour of Earl Granville, Britain's Colonial Secretary in 1886 when Vancouver was incorporated as a city. Originally the official name for the settlement was "Granville", not Vancouver. That had changed by 1886 and in 1913 the Ward 6 Ratepayers Association suggested honouring Earl Granville with a...

Granville Park, nestled in the heart of the city, is a delightful escape from the urban hustle. Despite its modest size, the park impresses with its well-maintained greenery and a small but picturesque lake. Ideal for quick strolls or peaceful reading sessions, it's frequented by locals seeking a touch of nature. The children's play area, though limited, is a hit with the younger visitors. However, the park's charm is slightly diminished by its proximity to busy roads, leading to occasional noise intrusion. Overall, Granville Park is a charming spot for a leisurely afternoon, especially for those in the vicinity looking for a...
