It was wonderful to hear that these concerts were to take place. I attended all three of them. Each concert had its own theme and its own innovation which I found refreshing. This organ is of particular interest to me as I played it for a time back in the early 1970's after it had received its renovation (1971). At the time, I was assisting John Fearing, the resident organist and choir director who was on leave from his duties for health reasons. I have fond memories of my time spent @ the console and my association with the choir of which I was a member. Given the historical significance of CMUC as a place of worship, and the history of its pipe organ, it is most worthy of further exposure to the public with more concerts/recitals. I discovered them when attending an Easter service with a friend, and I really like the theology, worship and community. Most importantly for me, all are welcome, and you are encouraged to question and think for yourself. Also the music is great, ranging from traditional to gospel to contemporary.
