I cannot say enough good things about our experience with Pastaggio! They catered our 40-person wedding in my in-laws' backyard this past weekend.
From the get-go Rebecca was extremely friendly, communicative, and flexible when it came to working with our budget. We were able to find a mix of salad & dinner options that would please everybody (plus a few separate dishes created for those with dietary restrictions). Rebecca also came through for us in BIG way the day before the wedding - when our dishware rental delivered us three wine glasses & champagne flutes (as opposed to three DOZEN), Rebecca was on the phone with my husband helping us handle it. She then proceeded to drive to their warehouse and hand deliver the remaining glasses to us that evening, so we wouldn't have to arrange pick-up the morning of the ceremony.
I wasn't involved much with the set-up the day of the wedding (I was the bride!) but my mom & maid of honour said that the man who came to set up the food, Colin, was friendly, fast, and totally unflappable in a chaotic kitchen. Our guests RAVED about the food (special shout-out to the mushroom lasagna), and there were enough leftovers to feed our friends (i.e. the clean-up crew) the following day. We ordered the sausage ragu, the mushroom lasagna, the kale caesar and the panzanella salad - everything was absolutely delicious and all the produce was extremely fresh. I was very pleased to see many guests going back for seconds!
I genuinely could write a novel singing Pastaggio's praises. Our experience was SO positive and supportive from day one, and their skill & passion for their work allowed us to better focus on our excitement for our big day. I will be recommending them to anyone looking to...
Read moreWe worked with Pastaggio to cater our wedding of 125 people (though they easily could’ve handled a bigger group) and it was the best and easiest wedding decision we made! (And when you plan a wedding you make A LOT of decisions!) They were so easy to work with, communicative, organized, helpful, and passionate. They were quick to offer solutions and were incredibly helpful with guests who had allergies and specific dietary needs - people who had such specific needs that we didn’t think we could feed them! And Pastaggio were just like “no problem” and rolled with it. We also had vegans and vegetarians and they made them fabulous food options. Not just one vegan option - MANY! We were overjoyed. The food was AMAZING! We were floored by the gorgeous charcuterie table they created for our cocktail hour and then we had 4 glorious handmade pastas, the best salads I’ve ever eaten in my life, beautiful focaccia, and they brought their mouthwatering bumballoni (which are Italian sourdough donuts) filled with caramel cream or strawberry and basil. We also really wanted to have porchetta with our dinner and they created these rich and fabulous porchetta sandwiches for us that were so amazing. Everyone was obsessed with the food. So many people told us it was the best food they’d ever had. We were so happy! And we have leftovers in our freezer! You cannot go wrong with Pastaggio. They are amazing humans who make the best food ❤️❤️ Thank you for your hard work! (We got this one photo of the charcuterie board in our sneak peeks to share but we assure you all the photo...
Read moreI used to give these people 5 stars. But you can't exactly rate a product 5 stars when it is missing 1/3 of the content. To put it bluntly – today I feel they have crossed the line. I paid $8 for a loaf of focaccia with a crater that measures 4.5" – that's a third (about three fat slices) of the loaf missing before I even touched it. Sure, previous loafs have holes too, but this crater 3 times larger. The lady just looked me straight in the eyes when bagging this, hiding the side with the crater from view. That's not the way to treat a loyal customer. I used to mark them on my calendar so that I can catch them at different farmers markets. Yes, the focaccia is insanely spongy, moist and delicious, but the goods are only half the experience – the other half is honesty and treating your...
