I placed an order for beef suya around 6 PM, only to get a call an hour and a half later informing me that it was no longer available. Instead, I was told to choose something else like egusi or chicken suya — despite the fact that I clearly stated I don’t eat chicken.
The woman I spoke to even had the audacity to ask me, “What do you expect me to do?” That’s not how you speak to a paying customer who has already waited over an hour.
After waiting another 5 minutes with no update, I called the Surrey branch to ask for the Vancouver branch’s number. I tried calling multiple times, but no one answered. When I called Surrey again, the lady said she would contact management and call me back. She did — only to ask for my name and say they were still "reviewing the issue." I never got a proper call back. Then at 8 PM, two hours after placing my order, it was just canceled with no explanation.
Why accept my order if you knew beef suya wasn’t available? Why not cancel it immediately instead of wasting over two hours of my time? This is completely unprofessional, disrespectful, and a waste of my time and money. If you can’t run a business properly, stop accepting orders you can’t fulfill. Don’t treat your customers like an afterthought. I won’t be ordering from here again, and I’ll make sure others know exactly what to expect dealing with this kind of chaos and disregard. Get your...
Read moreThis is my first time trying this place and also at a shared takeout location. This building is shared by 9 different take out only restaurants and you have to call them to bring out your order. There is free parking all along the street.
I ordered the chicken shawarma through UberEats. The restaurant tried to reach me to tell me they ran out of chicken so some of it will be beef. I did receive a call but the caller ID automatically said "suspected spam" so I didn't answer. They were nice to write me a note with my order to let me know some things were changed. I did get to try both chicken and beef tough. The chicken was soft but the beef to me was a lot tougher. I prefer the chicken so I will try the chicken only again next time. I am a very big fan of sauce and if you like it too, this is a great place for you. The wrap is smothered in sauce and filled with meet and cabbage. If you cannot tolerate spice, the mild would still have a little spice as well. The large version was bigger than a shawarma wrap at other places. However, I found the original price very expensive as it was around $18 for a large wrap. The UberEats BOGO was a very good...
Read moreSo saw it had almost 5 stars...decided to check it out. Now, I never write reviews but I was so displeased i decided to write this out. Prob the WORST Nigerian food I've ever had. It was terrible !!! I couldn't even eat it. I paid close to 40$ for 3 peices of beef literally( one dish, and some fufu).one peice was pure grisell worst meat I've ever had..and had seaweed in the egusi soup! I've never been so disappointed. I threw it out even. I'm one to never waste food! Then comes the service. I called and could not for the life of me understand a word the lady was saying, her phone is obviously broken and it was just muffles. I got tot he location and I don't see the restaurant on the menu board no clear written pickup sign in a weird obv ghost kitchen. Comes out and just hands food like its garbage to me. She could just tossed it tbh lol Terrible terrible terrible! Even as a last resort...
