October 22, 2020 - First time here. Very cozy with a home like feel to it. The backyard feels like a back yard with lots of greenery and tables to enjoy coffee at. The coffee was great all though I could not enjoy my mocha because this company uses "chipits" which has modified milk ingredients which I am highly reactive too. I would encourage a higher end of dark chocolate with sugars that are more natural. They made me a soy latte which was amazing partly due to the Stumptown coffee which I am now a new fan of, and in part by exceptional barista skills by a gentleman sporting a mask. THANK YOU! You were the only one.
The other employees were not andI even peeked in the kitchen. I would encourage you guys to step it up a notch since this pandemic is worsening and you are in contact with many unmasked individuals daily. I think I placing one hand sanitizing station at the rear and front entrance would be beneficial. I know they could do more to prevent the spread of this pandemic to the weaker immunosuppressed individuals out there like myself and those I love and care about. For example spraying down seating after a customer leaves so the other customers are aware as well. Having the front door open was great for air flow but its getting cold.
I plan to go back to this location because I am a new fan and also to report on this companies compliance with COVID-19 protocols. I will come back and change my rating if I see staff following guidelines to keep their customers and the general...
Read moreThis is a tough review and skewed, fair warning. This is my favourite coffee shop, bar none the best cup in the city in my opinion. So why only 3 🌟?
I work from coffee shops, and though I have a home office for business I much prefer getting out. I have a great option right around the corner in Deep Cove with decent bottomless coffee but it's not what I want. I want the vibe and flavour of Platform 7 because frankly, it's the best.
Sadly, after today I have decided Platform 7 isn't worth the drive or headache to from anymore as every time I have come to the shop to get some work done, they have WiFi issues. And I realize that a coffee shop is for coffee but what irks me here is the money being lost by the company because of this. Let me explain. Every time I work from a coffee spot, I get 1, 2, or even 3 different coffees during my stay, plus a meal. Even at a low price point, that's at least $20 and I work outside the office 3x a week. And the coffee at Platform 7 is worth it to go there exclusively if it had functional WiFi. But it doesn't. Even a staff member said they sometimes have trouble.
Perhaps they don't want people like me spending the day working, and that's fine as there are no plugins at the tables so I know I won't stay more than 3-4 hours but I'm currently bummed out that I can't work here at all.
So 5 🌟 for the coffee, 3 🌟 for the venue. Hopefully that changes. I...

First of all, some of the posted photos on Google Maps is are misleading. They don’t do other types of coffee brewing at this branch anymore (other than pour over). So no aeropress or anything. I was disappointed to see this after I went there.
Overall staff was nice. In fact, I think they’re nicer than the ones at the Kits branch.
I had a pour over and it was ok.
I had the “deluxe” breakfast veggie sandwich and I don’t know what was “deluxe” about it.
I thought the interior would be interesting and cozy but it didn’t feel like that. For some reason they have an ice cream section and hence a huge neon ice cream light at the entrance which doesn’t go with the interior decorations at all, killing all the vibes about being a train station platform.
There is the outdoor part at the back, which seemed nice at first but if you look closer the seats aren’t that comfortable. It wasn’t a hot day when I went anyway so I sat inside.
It was a weekday morning when I visited here and it was quiet.
I wasn’t very happy with the selections on sandwiches. Also, there were only a few gluten free options which were all cookies.
The bathroom...
