This is definitely my favourite Starbucks ever. Period. I myself usually prefer local coffee shops but since there non in the area I consider close enough I come here instead. It’s close to the skytrain, just off the bike path and has a bike locking area, but it’s also just off the highway and has a free parking lot so it’s convenient to get to. It’s also wheelchair assessable for those that need a flat path! The ambiance is very nice in there and the way the space is designed makes it seem like it’s never crowded even when it’s busy. There’s plenty of outdoor seating and shady grassy areas too if you like to enjoy the nice weather. The temperature is also somehow always perfect no matter the weather outside which is impressive. My favourite thing though by far are the employees that work here. All of them are so sweet, bright, kind, and seem happy to be there which makes me think it’s a good work environment (I hope at least) - a plus since I know starbucks has a bad reputation towards their employees. I always leave there feeling a bit better than when I did...
Read moreTwo baristas working on the bar were passive aggressive or very rude. In the afternoons, this same barista, red hair and wears glasses, always made the simplest drink wrong. My drink order says cold milk with almond milk; no where in my order does it say “no ice,” I was always given no ice when she’s there. I asked her today, “Does the cold milk come with ice?” She says, “okay” with a frown. She doesn’t even apologize nor answer my question, was I wrong asking a question like that? In addition to what happened today, another barista with orange, curly hair got really mad at a customer who just wanted to know how long her drink will take to make. The barista answered with their arms making an x signal, “you asked too many times, you can see your order on the tv screen behind you. Don’t ask anymore.” Honestly, this Starbucks has the worst customer connection...
Read moreJust had a horrendous experience here. Came to order a simple tea. As soon as I finished ordering, the off duty manager, Megan, who happened to be behind me in line, began to follow me around the store continually asking me to give more space for social distance protocols. The only person there was no space between was her and I and that’s because she kept following me around. And then she threatened to kick me out. Why this employee in a managerial role couldn’t be bothered to respect my space and patronage and simply go around rather than be a COVID Karen is beyond me. Thanks for a terrible experience Megan. Makes you look really good when the staff who eventually brought me my drink apologized to me for...
