Stuart’s Bakery on Granville Island is a must find! It is located inside the public market. The bakery is filled with amazing selection of sweet treats / baked goods. Everything is always freshly baked and all so good; such a treat especially for people with a sweet tooth like me. Be prepared to line up especially on the weekends but it usually goes by pretty quick. The staff are always friendly and helpful with recommendations and will gladly answer all your questions. Just a tip, try and browse through the selections first before lining up (if there’s a line up). This will help expedite things when ordering and paying.
My personal favourite is the Apple caramel cheesecake, New York cheesecake, crème brûlée and a few of their croissants. Their cheesecakes are creamy but not over powering. Their croissants are light, buttery and just the kind of crunch. Whether you’re craving for treats or for a special occasion, be sure to try a few baked goods when you’re at Granville island public market. It’s also nice to enjoy a cup of coffee with it and...
Read moreI spent about $50 here Saturday, Bought a slice of pride cake, tiramisu, key lime pie, chocolate eclair, mango cheesecake & last a cinnamon record.
Well we will start with chocolate eclair DONT TOUCH IT, no flavour it sucked.
Pride cake dry and not worth the money.
Tiramisu was nice but watery
Key lime pie was the only thing that was really good( must not make it there).
Mango cheesecake my daughter said was ok.
& last the cinnamon record, no cinnamon in this till you get closer to the middle then you get a hint of it.
For the average price of 5.50 each item, I would have to say stay the hell away from this store, and advise all your friends that if going to Granville island not to buy from this store.
You will be wasting your money if you buy anything from here, wish we had read the reviews on this store before going.
There are many stores at this place go to them and stay the Hell away...
Read moreNice shop within the Public Market. Purchased some scones and a couple of baked good desserts (red velvet cake, chocolate decadent). The scones were tasty, and a fair size for $3.95 each. They likely taste best fresh on the day-of purchase. The cakes were rich and decadent. The red velvet had a nice balance of cake to cream and was strong in flavor. Each were $5.95.
There was an initial issue after I paid where I realized I was overcharged for fruit tarts instead of the scones I asked for, but it wasn't a huge issue to get refunded. Unfortunately my order was made at a till where the items didn't display outwards to patrons. Pro tip, if you're buying multiple items, do the addition before making payment or have them recite your order to avoid confusion. Would like to come back to try some other treats, it's a good place for those with a...
