SUMMARY: To summarize my experience: My wife and I (and two toddlers) waited at noon for 1-employee to take care of several customers. Our wait time was over 25-minutes and when the owner arrived, she shrugged off my complaint and showed no concern for our experience (suggesting I complain to the corporate Subway). In the end, the food was below par, and we wasted about 40-minutes of our time at Subway because the owner could not plan the appropriate supplies or have adequate staff working during a busy time of the day.
There is a Subway just up the road from this one; I suggest spending the extra couple of minutes and traveling there.
DETAILS: If you can skip this place and find another, I highly recommend it. We stopped in at this Subway for a quick bite to eat as I (and my two toddler kids) broke my wife out of Women's Hospital just up the road. The time was noon and there were 2 customers in front of us, but only one associate working.
Kudos to this employee, as he was making each individual sandwich, and completing all of the transactions at the till, taking care of one customer at a time.
We waited for approximately 25-minutes until our subs were being prepared. While our subs were being made, the owner came in carrying supplies; she immediately jumped in to start making sandwiches, but the lone employee left to prep the supplies that she had brought (at least the owner was quicker than the lone employee).
I eventually just asked for the last sub being made to be packaged as is, without any condiments, as the process was taking too long and we had used up all of our time waiting.
I made my frustration known to the owner and I expected some sort of reimbursement at the till, but there was nothing.
We ate our subs, but they did not taste up to standards. I got up and approached the owner to express my disappointment of the entire situation. She shrugged off my complaint, said that she cannot control wait times and if I was not happy, to complain to the Subway Cooperate Complaint Line. She offered me free cookies to make up for my disappointment if I wanted. The owner did not recognize that her failure to plan adequate supplies or have appropriate levels of staff on shift should not be put on my shoulders as being my problem.
In the end, we could have went to a restaurant and spent less time waiting for food, had better food, and probably had an owner/manager who appreciated our business.
Will definitely not be returning. I suggest the same to you.
