Kim Express — Restaurant in Vancouver

My favourite pho, period. Let me say that I've lived away from Vancouver for a few years and have always missed the quality of pho in this city. If you know pho, you know that it's about the broth, the type of noodle, the meat, and it should be served with ample fresh herbs and lime (not lemon). The day I tried Kim Express and tried the soup, I knew this was it. I have had better beef at some other places, but here, the noodles are perfect and I will drink every last drop of soup. Maybe my taste is different from yours, but Kim Express is the one for me and I'm hooked. The staff are all great and the little lady who I think is the owner is the sweetest and loveliest lady I've met in a while. She is always attentive and the portions in the other dishes (served to my dining partners because I pretty much only eat pho) are always generous. I'm not Vietnamese, but I've been eating pho for 20 years. This place is my reigning champion. I haven't mentioned the spring rolls, salad rolls, and other items are really good too. Tried their stew (I call it the hangover cure) because this is something I had in Cambodia, to compare, and I would eat it again (if I want a change from the pho). Thank you...

Oh, the sweetest ladies run this place! The food is AMAZING! Our faves are the spring rolls and the beef stew (my mouth is watering just thinking about it)! This is our favourite Vietnamese restaurant in Vancouver!! And we looooove our Vietnamese food.

We come here at least once a week, and when we skip a week, we will go twice in that week because we can not live without their food!!! It is our SUSTENANCE! Especially as the weather gets colder and you need something to warm you from the inside. Their smoothies are also rich and creamy, so yummy!! They have some combos and can get quite busy during the lunch rush. When they are less busy, they will come around with a basket of treats after you have finished your meal; fruits if you want to be healthier or chocolates if you’re me, hahaha.

Covid protocols are great, dividers are up, menus sanitized, staff wear masks.

Please do yourself a favour and start your Kim Express addiction sooner...

First time trying Kim Express... GREAT PLACE. First of all, the location is easy to find, with free parking (always a bonus!). Upon entering the restaurant I was struck by how much they've done with the place. It's a small establishment, but the painting and decorations are classic, aesthetically pleasing and overall quite pretty! Their menu has a great deal of variety, I tried the lemon grass chicken with a spring roll (amazing spring rolls) and rice... loved it. I would go again tomorrow! Prices are incredibly reasonable, particularly for the amount and quality of food. The service was friendly and timely, no complaints whatsoever. Also tried one of their milkshakes (they have milkshakes, bubble tea, and smoothies... yum yum yuM!)
